Jordan's 6th Birthday!

Jordan turned 6! He had a great birthday!
He played the kindle in the morning.

Coleman wanted his picture taken after he saw me take one of Jack and Jordan.

The kids had swimming and piano that day. At swimming lessons Jordan said to his teach in the middle of the lesson, "Do you know how old I am?" She said "Uh... 6 or 7?" He said "6! and today's my birthday!" Haha I thought it was pretty funny :) At piano his teacher had him play the Happy Birthday song and she played it for him too :)

In the afternoon he watched the Domino's episode of Mr. Roger's Neighborhood (he loves that episode) and whatever episode was next. Then he played Donkey Kong Country with Jackson until
came home, around 4:30.

As soon as he was done playing the Wii he ran upstairs and started ripping off the wrapping paper from his presents. He didn't even wait for us to get up there. Luckily he wasn't too far ahead of us, so we didn't miss much.

He knew this present was from Kenzie. It was a Lego set.

He loved it. He did the same thing when he opened Jack's present to Jack, but I guess I didn't get a picture of that.

He needed his siblings help to get all the paper off this present.

He loves Bailey School Kids Jr books. They're the only chapter books he'll read without me reading with him.

He was so excited to get 2 sets of Magformers from us (plus a set from Grandma and Grandpa Riding)

And he was excited for some Tinker Toys. Almost all the presents he got from us were building toys: Tinkertoys, Legos, giant legos, and magformers.

Jackson got Jordan a snowcone maker and the flavors for it. They were really excited to try it out.

Jordan trying to open his envelope from the Kenyons.

Reading his cards from them.

We went to dinner with my parents to Red Robin. Jordan chose Red Robin because he wanted chicken strips and because Jackson told him that they come sing to you and bring you a treat. He mostly just wanted them to sing to him I think. He's not a big dessert person. :) He loved when they were singing.

My dad trying to make a Jordan smile.

Mackenzie was so sad that she didn't have a dessert. After giving Jordan his sundae, the waitress asked the rest of us if wanted dessert and everybody shook their heads, except Kenzie. She was nodding. We didn't get her any, but Jordan gave her his after he tried a few bites.

He's getting so big!

After Red Robin we went bowling. It was a lot of fun. I really like bowling :)

This is how Kenzie liked to go back to her seat after her turn.

We realized the last time we went bowling was for my birthday last year and it was so much easier this year. Last year Coleman wanted every turn to be his turn and we had to watch him to make sure he didn't run out when it was some else's turn so he wouldn't get hit by the ball. He just did what he was supposed to this year. It's kind of amazing the difference 1 year makes at his age.

I'm not sure what she was unhappy about...

Doug.

When we got home we sang happy birthday and had cake batter fudge.

Here's some things about Jordan:
He's easy going.
He doesn't complain.
He's happy.
He understands math really well.
He loves building toys.
He likes following directions to build things rather than making his own creation.
He loves riding bikes.
He's not that into sports.
He wears his yellow Great Wolf Lodge shirt most days lately (the one in the pictures above)
He loves to give hugs and kisses.
He's been doing good staying in bed at bedtime since we went to Texas.
He gets nervous in most movies, but not as much as he used to.
 He's a good eater.
He likes playing outside.
He likes reading science books as long as there are lots of pictures. He's currently reading one called "Lightening."
He loves playing with his siblings.
He loves peanut butter.
He's a fun, cute, sweet boy.
