Benson Boone in Austin!

Kenzie and Doug flew to Austin so Kenzie could go to the Benson Boone concert with Nati. Even though Doug was recovering from his new head wound, they had a great time.

Doug wasn't up to much while he was there so he mostly just hung out at the  house.

Doug and Richard went to a Lake Travis High School Football game while Michelle and the girls were at the concert.

Michelle bought them t-shirts! Kenzie's was for her birthday, which was in a few days. 

The next day they hung out at the house, I think went shopping, and went paddle boarding with Nati's boyfriend, Owen, and his friend. Doug went to Chuy's with Michelle and Richard.

Doug Gets Stitches

Doug came home from basketball one morning with a deep cut in his head. He was hit in the head by someone's knuckle when he was playing defense and the other guy was trying to pass the ball. He came in the house requesting medical supplies. He said he thought he'd need stiches, but then he said he just wanted to go get medical glue from Walgreens to glue his cut closed. He was going to be catching a plane about 4.5 hours after he got home from basketball so he didn't think he'd have time to go to urgent care. I convinced him to go. It wasn't even 8:00 at that's when the urgent care opened. So I took him there and we were taken into a room right away since his head was still bleeding some. We still ended up being there about 10 hours. But 1 tetanus shot and 8 stitches later we were on our way home, with barely enough time for him to shower, pack (with some help from me) and go to the airport.

He also ate some breakfast before going to the airport.

Kenzie had set up him breakfast and made him a get well card soon.

Jack Goes Back to College

Jackson went back to Western in September. We were sad to see him go, but he was excited to get back :) He's living with his roommate from last year, Nick, and their friend Jake. Their apartment is super nice. He's been doing great at school, playing lots of tennis, and just enjoying college life!

Standing in his kitchen. He's cooked typical college food like frozen pizzas, ramen, mac n cheese, but he's also made some chicken and rice and curry. He said his roommates aren't good about cleaning up after themselves in the kitchen, but he always cleans up his dishes. Sometimes he starts doing theirs, but they tell him not to because then they feel bad :) But it does motivate them to do some cleaning. He said he's also the only one who has unloaded the dishwasher so far. I'm proud of him for being so responsible:)

Do The Puyallup!

We went to the Puyallup Fair! It was a quick trip since the kids had to be back for sports, but we had fun! We saw the collections, animals, rode rides, and ate lunch and snacks.

There was an adorable bunny that reminded us of Snickers.

And a weird looking bird.

The kids almost always ride this ride.
