Arizona Part 1

We went to Arizona for a week in March. Ashlee organized a cousin reunion over Grandma Carlson's birthday and I decided to bring my whole family with me since Michelle was going to bring her whole family too. It was so much fun!
Kenzie loved the little hooks on the back of the door.

We got in late Monday night so we saw the Kenyons on Tuesday morning. Michelle, Doug, and I took the kids to Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center. I took the kids there last year. It was so cheap and fun we had to do it again. It's only $2.25 per adult and $1 per kid! The kids really wanted to go to the Golfland water park we went to for Jordan's birthday last year, but it would have been $14/person. It was cheaper to take all 9 of us to this aquatic center than it was for 1 person at Golfland!

Jordan in the lazy river.

Jordan, Nati, and Kenzie

Kenna and Jackson

Doug did a lot of sun tanning.

Coleman's the cute blond kid in the whirl pool. It spins so quickly that he needed help from the life guard to get out.

We found out that the food is really cheap there too. We got Italian Ice that was only $2.50 for a small and $3.50 for a large. And they even had my favorite flavor, watermelon. Jackson got some candy instead that was only $1 per bag. This place is pretty amazing!

That night we went to Nancy's for dinner and smores.

Coleman kept cuddling with Kenna.

Grandma, Shell, Nancy, Jack, Kenna, Coleman

The next day Shell and I took the kids to the aquatic center again and then we took the kids to Dairy Queen to get free ice cream for the first day of summer. Doug and my dad went golfing and then my dad took Doug to the airport. Doug went to see his parents for a couple days.

Michelle and my mom.

Grandma, Coleman, and Michelle.

Shell was the luck one who got to cuddle Coleman that night.

Kenzie and Nati playing with the little people.

Mackenzie and Nati really wanted to go to Target to get some new matching clothes. They looks so cute in them!

The kids played Code Names a lot.

Jordan's Family Party

We had Jordan's family party the Sunday after his birthday.

Cam, Alli, Kenzie.

He got lots of fun presents!

He wanted peanut butter balls for his treat. He loves peanut butter and chocolate :)

First Soccer Games

Soccer started right after basketball ended.
Jackson sometimes has games Friday nights. His first game was beautiful weather. Actually, most of the games have been good weather. There has been little rain this year. Jackson has the same coach as last fall and about half the kids are the same. They will play the blue team every game because they are the only two teams in the division. Jackson's team has lost them all so far, but they have been pretty good games.

Mackenzie's team is playing so well this year. They all have played before, and play well together. They are great at passing and playing their positions. They are a fun team to watch. Mackenzie has played mostly defense and is doing a great job!

Jordan's team is doing great too! Most of them were on his team in the fall and they play pretty well together. Jordan has improved a lot. When he puts forth full effort and plays his hardest he really does a great job. He scored his first goal of the season last Saturday! He often plays forward, and I think that is where he prefers to play. He sometimes plays midfield, but he doesn't like it as much because it involves too much running :)

The End of Basketball

Basketball season ended a week later than expected because of a week of games getting cancelled because of the snow. Only Jordan and Coleman had games scheduled, but Coleman ended up having a fever we only had Jordan's double header games.
Grandpa giving Jordan some pointers. Jordan had a great season and improved a lot. We really liked his coach and team!

Mackenzie spent a lot of time practicing her shots between and during Jordan's games.

This was right before Jordan got a haircut. It was getting so long!

Happy Birthday Jordan

Jordan turned 11 this year!
He actually opened his presents the night before his birthday because Doug had to work on his birthday and we had soccer, activity days, volleybal, and young men's in the evening.

Poor Jackson was sick.

He got Heely's.

And Harry Potter Legos!

And a new dresser to build by himself (with help if needed.)

We are becoming a Heely family :)

Mackenzie and Coleman wanted to help decorate.

Jordan wanted to play video games when he got up on his birthday. Here is playing cookie clicker. A weird game where you just click on the cookie to see how many clicks you can get. And then I think you can buy things with the clicks.

Then we went to Chuck E. Cheese.

It had been awhile since we've been there so the kids were extra excited.

Jordan hit the jackpot and got 250 tickets!

They were only kids there to dance with Chuck E.

Kenzie got the jackpot too! Jackson did too! It was a lucky day!

Jordan got 10 Airheads. He was only  supposed to get 8 I think, but the lady just gave him 10. He was so happy!

Kenzie got a stuffed animal and some candy.

Coleman had lots of tickets to munch. He had a bunch left over from when he went with Doug awhile ago. He didn't spend any of his tickets yet. He's saving for a bigger prize.

Jackson got 10 Airheads too.

We thought Chuck E. Cheese opened at 10, but when we got there around 10:30 we found that it didn't open until 11. Rather than sitting in the car for a half hour or going home, we decided to go to Target. The boys bought some Pokemon card sets. Jordan was excited to look through his new ones and organize them when we got home.

Then Jackson and Jordan played Pokemon.

Jordan chose Peanut Butter Bars for his treat.

The day after Jordan's birthday we went to the Family Fun Center to play miniature golf.
