Advent Calendars

The kids advent calendars didn't arrive until the 6th and 7th of December so they got to open several days the first day they got it!

Kenzie's has spa type things: lotions, candles, soaps, things like that.

Jordan's is an escape room one with puzzles to solve each day.

Coleman's is a game one where he opens a new game each day.

Decorating For Christmas

We decorate for Christmas a couple weeks ago. We're loving how the new house looks with all our decorations! I was happy we were able to find places for all our old decorations. We put lots of lights up around the house which makes it look extra Christmasy.

Gingerbread Houses at the Sheraton

Yesterday we went to the Gingerbread Houses at the Sheraton. The theme this year was Toy Shop Time Machine and all the creations looked amazing!

The first two had so many different toys and games that I kept seeing new every time I looked at them.

We stopped at Chic Fil-a on the way home. Kenzie was unhappy with Doug for some reason and kept scooting away :)

Maple Valley Lights and Christmas Tree

On Thursday we went to Maple Valley Lights. It was fun! They ended up shutting it down about 20 minutes after we got there and said they were done for the night, but we enjoyed what we saw and heard :) They had a few new songs, including a 6 7 Christmas song Kenzie and Coleman especially loved.

Then we went to Fred Meyer to get a Christmas tree. I had gone to Fred Meyer that morning to pick up groceries and while I was there I saw they were a lot cheaper than at the tree farms we've gone to and the nursery. And since we couldn't walk home with the tree we didn't need to go to the nursery. The kids thought it was a little weird to get it there but we found one we loved! And I had a coupon so it only cost about $75, a lot cheaper than usual :)

Snowflake Lane

A few hours after landing from our trip to Arizona, Kenzie and I went to Snowflake Lane and ice skating with the young women! We had a lot of fun! 

It ended up being dance recital week and some were sick so we only 4 girls from our ward. Morgan, Kenzie, Jenna, and Emily. We invited the two other wards from our building to come too and they both had a a lot of young women and the leaders of their wards said their young women had so much fun.

Leslie and I walked back to get the car while Heather stayed with the young women and then had them stopped skating and get ready to leave. While they were waiting for us to drive back with the car, they took some pictures.
