More Random Pictures
Kenzie's arms can bend in unusual ways.
We always love playing at Grandma's pool!
Grandpa was finally able to try out his pool golf set.
Trek
These 3 went on trek July 5-8th. They all had a lot of fun! They said it was hot. The boys didn't think it was too hard. Kenzie loved when they made it to Zion. Her favorite part was eating snow cones. They also loved the slip n slide. None of them seemed to get any heat exhaustion and their feet were all fine.
I don't have pictures of Kenzie's group. She was with her friends Jenna, Lorelei, and Abagayle from our ward. There were also 3 boys from our ward, Cole, Weston, and Ethan in her group. Her ma and pa were Brother and Sister Green also from our ward.
Jackson and Jordan were in the same group and their ma (Sister Bolles) sent me some pictures:
They had Mason and Alex from our ward in their group.
The mas and pas gave out awards to some of the kids. Kenzie got the Mighty Mouse award because even though she's small, she's mighty. She also had a mouse run in her bandana.
Jordan got the pa's helper award for always being willing to help and doing it with a smile.
They came back happy and dirty!
Independence Day
We spent the Fourth of July at Ashlee's lake.
The kids played spikeball.
And swam
And floated
Everytime someone new would get on the float, Konrad would jump in and splash them all. He's really good at big splashes. Jordan's been practicing jumping in like him, and he's gotten really good at it too.
They tried to pull Doug in.
Doug and Coleman practiced kayaking to help get them ready for the young men canoe trip.
Coleman paddleboarded (with Elijah, but I didn't get a picture of him)
We watched fireworks.
Kenzie took these pictures and they turned out so much better than my fireworks pictures.
And lastly, we did sparklers.
Jackson, Kenzie, Jordan, and Elijah.
Wild Waves with Doug
Doug took Monday off after we got home from our cruise since the next day was the 4th of July and he got that day off as well. So he came to Wild Waves with us! It was a lot of fun!
Alaska Cruise Day 9 - Victoria, BC
Our last day was spent mostly on the boat, but we pulled into Victoria, BC around 7 that evening and got off the boat and walked around for an hour or so.
We watched ice carving. It was really cool!
A salmon!
A bunch of kids from the kids club (also called Splash Academy) played soccer with Coleman. When we walked around the boat throughout the week the kids would say hi to him. One kid said "Hi Coleman! You're the GOAT at gaga ball!" It was cute.
Doug and Jackson participated in the shooting contest. Doug almost won, but ended up in second.
The kids are now international travelers:)
We could see Rattlesnake Ridge from Victoria.
Our last ice creams of the trip.
We played video games/read until the teens went to teen club (also called Entourage) around 11 for the last time. Kid club was wasn't open that night. At teen club they handed out awards. Jordan got the laid back award and Jackson got the night owl award. He also got the bragging rights awards (shared with another kid) for winning the most competitions throughout the week. They had video game ones, foosball, board games and some others. They loved teen club and made lots of friends!
Alaska Cruise Days 8 - at sea
The next day was another At Sea day. We just hung out. The kids went to their clubs. We all went to Deal or No Deal. We played video games and read in our rooms.
Jordan grabbed a cone before realizing the do it yourself ice cream machine was broken. Someone else got ice cream in a dish from the ice cream place where a worker gets you ice cream and they didn't want it so he put the ice cream in his cone.
