A Midsummer Night's Dream

Mackenzie and Jordan participated in our Co-op's play, A Midsummer Night's Dream. They both had a great time and are hoping to be able to do another play next year. Mackenzie especially loved it, and kept saying that she wished she could do it again. She really loves performing!
Jordan played Flute, one of the Mechanicals.

Jordan and Thane saying "Do we have to play girls?"

Mackenzie was Puck.

"Boo!"

All the scenes in the background were made by the kids.

Puck about to capture Bottom.

Flute being a girl in the play the Mechanicals did for the duke and duchess.

Flute died and a lion ate him.

Mackenzie had the last lines.

All the cast!

Pinewood Derby

Since scouts is ending in the Church, our scout troop let the kids turning 8 join in the Pinewood Derby this year. Coleman was excited to participate!

He was cute to watch! He got second in most of his races and ended up 7th overall. After racing the boys were supposed to put their cars back on the stands, but Coleman kept forgetting. He would sit down with it until he realized his was still holding it, then he would quickly walk it back to where it was supposed to go.

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter, as always.
We colored eggs on Easter Eve.

Coleman spent the longest time coloring eggs. He soaked his last egg in each color for a long time. I got him some baking soda to drop the vinegar/water solution into to help him practice mixing colors.

All our eggs.

This was the last one Coleman did... the one that was mixed in every color. It's weird that it's so light throughout most of it.

The kids searched for the hard boiled eggs on Easter morning.

And they found their baskets of course.

Jack wanted to leave one of his allotted eggs white.

My parents went to Hawaii during Easter this year,  so we went to the Crabtree's instead.
Ashlee and Konrad hid over 200 eggs for the kids to find!

They hid eggs that had numbers on them, and then they got to pick a prize in order of the number they found. So fun!

Kenzie got number 1 and was excited to pick this cute stuffed animal!

Everyone with their prizes.

Mariners' Game

We went to a Mariners' Game with my parents and the Crabtrees. It was a lot of fun!
