Fun with Kids

Reading books:

Finger Painting.
My kids don't really like finger painting. At least not at home. They prefer using paintbrushes.

It was Coleman's first time.

We built a fort and then I let the kids watch a movie in it while eating poporn. It was the first time we've done this and they loved it.

Wild Waves

We went to Wild Waves with Ashlee and her girls in August. The kids rode rides and played in the water. We loved going and are tempted to get a season pass next year...
The roller coaster. Jordan and Jack rode on it with all the Crabtrees. Kenzie was happy she was too small to go.

Jordan and Sam are in the front.

Jack, Alli, Jordan, Kimber, Kenzie, Sam, (another kid).
Kenzie was excited to go on this ride until it started moving. Then she started screaming. Kimber convinced her to close her eyes so she would be so scared. It worked and she stopped screaming. But she was thrilled to be off the ride and wouldn't go on anymore rides that went up high.

She loved the cars.

And boats.

Then Jordan joined her on the boats.

Jack rode the teapots over and over again with his cousins.

Coleman

We ate lunch in the car then went back in to play in the water.

Sleeping Kids

Coleman sleeping out of his swaddle. He only sleeps out of it at bed time. I still wrap him at nap time. He doesn't seem to sleep as well during nap when he's not wrapped up.

Jackson
Since we put Coleman in the boys room, the boys have to sleep in the loft on pillow mattresses. I thought I should document this. They are very excited to move soon so that they can have a real bed to sleep on. :)

Amazon Summer Picnic 2012

We went to Amazon's summer picnic this year. It had been 3 years since we'd gone to it. Our kids were much more into it this year then before. They loved it.

 Jordan on the bouncy slide.

Jack on the bouncy slide.

Kenzie wanted to go on the slide with Doug. I wasn't so sure it was a great idea, since she doesn't like slides and especially doesn't like bouncy slides. But we thought maybe she'd go down with Doug. She started freaking out at the top, but Doug just grabbed her and made her come down with him. She wasn't very happy. But she did survive :)

Doug, Kenzie, Jackson doing the water balloon fight. Jordan, Colie, and I were across from them trying to hit them. None of us got even close to hitting the the other ones.

Coleman spent most of his time in the stroller.

They were excited to do the bumper boats. Jordan had a little bit of a hard time steering though.

Kenzie didn't end up enjoying it and asked to get out soon after getting in.

Jack loved it.

The kids all got kites for being there. They loved flying them. And now love flying kites anytime they can. This Jordan.

 Jackson

 Jackson's dragon face paint.

Jordan got the Seattle skyline. Kenzie didn't want one.

Doug took the big boys to play Angry Birds so I took the babies to the baby area. Colie was happy to get out. Do you see his shirt? I made him an amazon one an old one of Doug's. It didn't really turn out that great and was too short. But it worked for the 1 day he wore it. :)

This was all Kenzie wanted to do the whole day. It was kind of in a far away spot so we couldn't find it until the end when we were about to leave. She loved it and was so excited to finally ride on it.

Coleman and I just watch and waved "hi."

Blue Angels

We went to New Castle Beach to watch the blue angels in August. It was pretty cool, but Doug was disappointed that we couldn't see them when they were flying low. The kids seemed more interested in playing in the water. But I think we all still had fun :)
We ate pizza for a picnic lunch.

The blue angels are in this picture if you look really hard.
