Family Temple Trip

We went to the Seattle Temple on Sunday to walk around. I don't think we've ever done this as a family and thought it would be a good way to fill up the long Sunday afternoon, especially since Mackenzie didn't take a good nap. The grounds of the temple are pretty cool. There's some little trails to walk through. The kids loved it.

A nice man offered to take a family picture for us. Then Doug took a picture for the guy and his family. They had 3 boys and a girl just like us. They were much older though.

Jack wanted to see the water fall. I told him about it before we left. That's how I convinced him and Jordan that it would be fun to go to the temple.

Kenzie wanted up too.

Coleman slept the whole time in his carseat.

Doug helping Kenzie after she fell. She falls kind of a lot.

The kids wanted to take pictures of Doug and me. When it was Jordan's turn he accidentally pointed the camera at him instead of at us so we ended up with a picture of his face instead of us.

We all thought it was so funny when Jordan took the picture of his face that Jack wanted to take one of his. He did it on purpose though.

"everyone hug" was the direction we were given.

Jordan had been wearing a rain jacket the whole time with the hat on. When we got in the car Doug had him take it off and his head was so sweaty. It was pretty gross.

Farmer's Market

We've gone to the Kent Farmer's Market on a couple Saturdays this summer. We like to buy strawberries and eat some of them there. The kids love it. The strawberries taste much better than the ones you buy in the grocery store. There's a also a sprinkler park next it. The first time we went it wasn't on, but the last time we went some of if was working. So the kids played in the water a little bit. Somehow, though, I didn't get any pictures of them in the water.

Doug and Kenzie.

Kenzie

Kenzie eatinig a strawberry. She loves strawberries. I think they may be her favorite food. Those and raspberries. If we don't remind her to not eat the green part she will eat it. It doesn't seem to bother her.

The Kenyons' last visit

My sister Michelle and her family were here visiting a couple weeks ago for the last time before they moved far away to Texas. Even though it's only been a couple weeks we miss them. We don't like the fact that we'll probably only seem them once a year while they live there. I keep hoping they'll move back soon though :) Jackson said he wants to move to Austin so we can see them. Doug would be ok with that too, I think. He's kind of tired of the cold and wet Washington weather. But I don't know if I could survive the Texas heat... But back to their visit. We spent as much time as we could with them while there were here. We hung out at my parents' house, Ashlee's house, went to the beach, the mall, out to eat, and my sisters, niece, and I saw Harry Potter.

Coleman slept great in this thing the whole time we were there.

It was pretty cold when they got out of the water. The sun kept hiding behind the clouds and when it did it was even kind of chilly for those of us that didn't get wet. Jackson needed to be wrapped up in 2 towels to get warm.

Pictures of the kids playing in the sprinklers at my mom's house.

Natalie and Jack

Kenna sitting on it with Nati and Jack watching.

Kenna and Jordan. They were the only ones who got very wet.

Nati kept trying to convince Kenzie to go play with her in the water. But when Kenzie would try to go out Nati would try to hold her hand or put her hand on Kenzie's back so Kenzie would run back and didn't want to go over with Nati. The funny thing is that Natalie doesn't ever really want anyone to do those kind of things either, but is ok being the one to do them.

6 Weeks

Coleman is now 6 weeks old. Six and a half actually. So I thought I would put ups some more pictures of him from the last few weeks. He's still cute and cuddly. He likes being swaddled. He also likes his binkies. He doesn't like to be in his car seat very much when he's awake. He still sleeps a lot. I still try to hold him as much as I can. We call him Coleman, Cole, Colie, Baby, and the boys say they call him Colemy sometimes.

I have to have at least one good crying picture...

One month old

First smile picture! He generally just does random smiles, but I still love them. I try to take a picture when he does smile, but I am usually unsuccessful in capturing it.

6 weeks old.

I don't know why, but I love yawning pictures.
