First Day of Summer

We actually had a really nice and warm first day of summer. (Although it's back to cold and cloudy and rainy... hopefully warm weather will come and stay soon.) Doug took the kids to a sprinkler park to play. They all had a lot of fun.

Kenzie was so excited to find the Wheat Thins.

The boys were excited for the first day of summer. A few weeks ago they made chains to count down the days until summer. So on Tuesday when they came in my room in the morning they said it was summer and asked if they could wear their summer clothes, which they have been wearing for awhile now anyways.

It was Kenzie's first time to actually be able to play at the sprinkler park since she couldn't walk last year. She looks like she had fun.

After they came home they had popsicles in the back yard.

I asked Kenzie to look at me and smile and this is the face she made.

Back Home

Jackson has been loving Coleman. He held him for a long time on Saturday after we got home and on Sunday. He said on Sunday that he liked holding Coleman more than playing the Wii.

Coleman Roy Dance

Coleman was born on Friday, June 17, at 12:31 pm. He weighed 6lbs 5 oz and was 18 in long.

Enjoy the many, many pictures :)

Jackson was really excited to see him and happy to hold him. Jordan looked at him for a little bit, but didn't want to hold him, and found more interesting things to do (like trying to move my bed up and down). Kenzie wasn't too interested in him. My sister told me that when they showed a picture of Coleman to Jordan and told him it was Coleman he didn't really care. But then they asked him if he knew who Coleman was and he said no and they told him it was his little brother. He was really excited once he knew that.

Grandma Riding and Coleman

Doug played on his phone a lot while we were in the hospital. His current game of interest is Plants Vs. Zombies. Sounds fun huh? :)

Ready to go home

Birth Story:
I was induced Friday morning. We got to the hospital around 7 and the doctor broke my water around 8 and the nurses gave me pitocin around 8:30. The anesthesiologist came in around 9 and I was all set with my epidural around 9:30. I was nervous it wouldn't work since it didn't with Kenzie all the way, but it did. Around 11 though I started feeling contractions on one side so they gave me a little more epidural and after a half hour it started working. A little before noon the doctor came in and I was dilated to a 9.5. He told the nurses to turn the pitocin down because he had to go tie someone's tubes and he'd be back after. Shortly after he left I was feeling ready to have the baby, but I had to keep him in until the doctor came back. It's not very fun to hold a baby in. The nurse kept telling me it was a very short procedure that he was doing and so he'd be back quick. He came back in around 12:25 or so and they got ready for delivery. After 2 pushes little Coleman was born. We love him so much!
