Jackson's Birthday

Jackson turned 14 last week. He was kind of happy that he had to stay home all day so he could just play Pokemon and video games all day. We also went to my parents' house for dinner. He had a great day! He said several times throughout the day that it was the perfect day.

Doug had a meeting from 9-3 so Jackson and Doug woke up at 6:30 (or maybe it was 7...) to play video games. Jackson hadn't slept well the night before since he was s excited. He slept on our floor for a little while and went in Kenzie's room where Kenzie and Coleman were sleeping and tried to sleep in there without luck. It sounds like he only got a few hours of sleep. I don't know how he wasn't exhausted all day!
He opened presents at 8 so he could do it before Doug's meeting.

So many Pokemon cards!

All the boys were excited to see what cards he got.

Jackson wanted to put the codes that came with his cards on the computer Pokemon game to see what cards he got there.

Then some Pokemon games happened. Doug had an hour break so he played for awhile.

Jackson wanted pizza for lunch.

Jackson and Jordan played Rocket League.

Kenzie took the Harry Potter house quiz because she finished listening to the last book! She's in Gryffindor and her patronus is a red squirrel.

More Pokemon after Doug's meeting ended.

Hearts happened at my parents'house. Coleman played because it was Jack's birthday.

Jackson won by shooting so he had to stand on the chair and say "I shot! I shot! I shot the moon!"

After ravioli for dinner, he opened presents.

He wanted oreos for dinner, but my mom made a cake for the rest of us :) Plus it made it easier for him to blow out candles!

He ended up being too full for oreos though. I don't think that has ever happened before!

Then Doug let Jackson stay up until 11:30 playing video games with him.

It was a great day celebrating a great kid!

Somethings about Jackson:
He doesn't mind quarantine. He's sad he's missed out on soccer but he loves having enough time to finish all his work and still have time for Pokemon and video games.
He loves Pokemon.
He loves video games.
He often plays Rocket League with Doug during video game times. Or he plays Pokemon online.
He loves Oreos.
He hates potatoes.

His favorite subject is computer programming.
He still loves playing the piano.
He also enjoys the violin, but not quite as much as the piano.
He's competitive.
He's smart.
He's nice.
He's goofy.
We're so happy he's in our family!
