Hawaii Day 5

Today was Sam's 12th birthday so we spent the day doing what she wanted. First we went to Haleiwa to shop and get some shave ice from Matsumoto's. Doug, my dad, and Richard went golfing while we shopped.
 Kenzie

Colie didn't really enjoy shopping. He wanted me to carry him the whole time, but it was so hot I didn't want to. I carried him some of the time and he whined the rest of the time.

Coleman does love putting his head in any of these kind of things he sees. Too bad we didn't see more of the them to keep him happy :)

 the birthday girl!

After lunch at home we went to Hukilau. It was a windy and the waves were the biggest we've seen this trip. The kids loved riding them!

 The watchers (and readers :))

Jordan loved it out there! He would get wiped out and then jump right back up and do it again.

Even though Kenzie had goggles she still ran back to wipe her eyes.

Everyone turned around a lot to watch for the big ones.

While we waited for Konrad to get the ice cream (he had to get it right before we were going to eat it because we had no room in the freezer for it) we had a Rock, Paper, Scissors tournament.
 Ashlee beat Jackson.

Kenzie beat me, then lost to Doug. She was the only kids to beat an adult and I was the only adult to lose to a kid...

Luckily she was okay about losing. She usually isn't...

 Sam and her cupcakes.

The candles kept relighting themselves :)
