Dance Family Reunion

The Dance Family Reunion was at Palisades State Park in Utah. It was a great location. We had a group campsite where we could set up tents or sleep in a camper. Since we don't have a camper we slept in a tent :) We spent most of the day Friday and Saturday at the lake, which was a short walk from our campsite. It was so much fun to spend time with everyone!

Jordan, Jackson, McKay, Preston, Brooklyn
The lake was beautiful and actually pretty warm compared to other lakes I've been in.

Coleman loved playing with Lauren!

Darrin had a shovel in his truck that he let Jordan use to make a hot tub in the sand, Jordan worked all afternoon on his hot tub before he got the shovel. His work went much faster once he had a shovel.

My camera's cool feature :)

Preston, Brooklyn, Colie, Landon, Kenzie, Jackson, Mckay, Preston.
They are all watching a ball that Landon controls with his i-pod.

Kenzie loves taking pictures.

Coleman about to dump sand on Kenzie's feet.

I love that she wanted to take a picture of this moment :)

Mackenzie loved Landon! We saw Landon (and the rest of Jason's family) the Sunday before the reunion. Landon played with Kenzie a lot that evening so she couldn't wait until she could see him again. She told me that she was wondering if he would have a Hello Kitty sleeping bag like she has. When she saw him again, she did ask him, but he said he didn't have one. :) She spent every moment she could with him. She followed him around and was always hoping he would come where we were. When I took this picture she kept scooting closer to him and he would scoot away a little bit because she was really close.

Colie loved this little chair Deveny brought. We had smores both nights. Whenever anyone would ask if Colie wanted chocolate he would say "I don't like chocolate." He just wanted the graham crackers :)

Mackenzie on the other hand just wanted chocolate. She kept trying to sneak it.

Last year all the grandkids decorated a fabric square (and someone else decorated one for those who weren't there.) Grandma sewed them all together to make a quilt. It looks really great!

On Saturday we rented several of these paddle boats, and 1 kayak. The kids loved going out in these.

Coleman in his favorite chair in the water.

Grandma and Candis took several kids out for a long ride.

I found the perfect spot to watch the kids in the water. My feet in the water kept me cool but I was still mostly dry. :)

Shantel and I talking. Jordan is by me.

By the middle of the afternoon it was starting to get colder and windy and it rained for a little bit. It actually felt really nice when it wasn't windy. I love warm rain!

Lauren, Kenzie, Landon, Jordan, Colie (hard to see him), Carson
These kids went for a ride right before it started raining. I love how all the big cousins play so well with the little ones.

Shawenn and Shayla. Shawnee had just tried to climb in and tipped them both :)

Kenzie, Anna, Isaac, Carson, Landon.

That night we went to the Manti temple because we heard it was good location to see fireworks. We could see a few different shows from there.

We had so much fun and as always it went by too fast! We already can't wait for next year's reunion:)
