Kenzie starts swimming lessons

On the boys' 2nd or 3rd day of swimming lessons their teacher  told me I should bring Kenzie the next week in her swimsuit. I didn't know how Kenzie would do. She's kind of stubborn and thought she might fight it if she didn't want to get in and she doesn't like water in her face. But I did bring her in her swim suit and prepped her all week for it so she was ready and excited.
Before class.

Silly pictures:

There was only 1 kid in the class before ours and so the teacher let them get it during playtime. Kenzie was a little nervous, but seemed to be having fun.

Kenzie going across for the first time.

She was doing great and needed help only some of the time going across on her front.

She was much more nervous going on her back.

Diving in. She even did great jumping in and going under the water. It's actually helped with bath time. Now she doesn't cry when water gets on her eyes in the bath because she's so brave :)

Jordan getting ready to jump off the diving board. There were 2 other girls in the class that day. It was the only time there have been other kids.

Kenzie's turn. She was so nervous. You can tell by looking at her face.

But she did it and was so proud of herself. She had huge smile on her face after.

She was so nervous going down the slide too.

But she did it. And was excited again :)

After the lesson she came over to me so excited and I told her that I was proud of her. She responded "I'm proud of me to!"
She's had one more lesson since then and loves it. She's moved up a couple levels with the floats and was using 3 on her back and none on the front, which is the same as Jordan (although I think I'll try to take one off his next class, I think he could do it:), Jackson only has a half float on. In no time he'll be swimming without any :)

This movie shows how scared and excited Kenzie was when she jumped off the diving board. I love her facial expressions! (It's shaky at the beginning but gets better after 10 or so seconds :))
