Mariners Opening Night

My parents got us tickets to go to the Mariners' opening night. Since Ash and Konrad are out of town the Crabtree girls came with us too (except Cam who stayed with Ashlee's friend.) Doug and I sat with all the kids in the upper level. Most of the lower seats were taken and they were a lot more money. Parking was crazy so Doug dropped us off and then drove around to find a spot. He found one that was about a 40 minute walk away. It was far, but it was also free. The paid lots we found would have cost us $40. Crazy! They were all full. So for the first hour or so of the game it was just me and 7 kids. Kimber said the people behind were counting all the kids amazed at how many there were. She thinks they counted me as a kid and didn't see Coleman because they though the couple next to her were the parents. Doug left the game in the 8th inning to pick up the car so we didn't have to have the kids walk 40 minutes to the car. A certain 3 year old whined the entire 10 minute walk to the stadium from the car when we got there so it was probably for the best:) The kids and I appreciated it.
The kids.

The parents.

Alli and a NinjaTurtle.

We weren't sure if Grandpa was going to come up to take the kids to get some treats. He came an inning or two late, but he did come. Kenzie loved her cotton candy!

Sam, Jordan, and Alli Jordan kept moving his head and ended up blocking Alli.

So we took another and made sure Alli's cuteness could be seen.

Easter

The kids and I colored eggs with Grandma Riding and the Crabtree girls on Easter Eve.
Sam, Jordan, Coleman, Kenzie, Alli, Jackson.

The kids colored on them with crayons markers and put stickers on them too.

Coleman loved coloring eggs this year!

Jack and Alli and their favorite eggs they made.

Kenzie with her favorite egg.

Cam got up from her nap and ran happily to me and then showed me her cute outfit.

Sam made an S egg for her and me.

On Easter morning we watched some Easter videos on the Kindle and then the kids hunted for the hard boiled eggs and their baskets.

Coleman loved finding eggs. It's fun seeing him be more excited about holidays.

Kenzie was ecstatic to find this puppy in her Easter basket.

Coleman doesn't like candy so he was happy to find some colorful fishies. Those are his favorite kind.

Jack really wanted a Baymax stuffed animal for his birthday and was happily surprised to get it for Easter instead.

Coleman pulled out the Cheetos and expclaimed "I like these!" He also got a little Baymax stuffed animal and a bike basket.

It took Jordan the longest to find his basket this year. It was hiding in the pantry behind the container of rice. He was so happy when he found it.

When he saw Jack's Baymax he knew he must have one too since he had wanted one for his birthday too, but didn't get one. Target had run out of them before I could buy one. He never said anything about it though so I wasn't sure he really remembered that he had wanted one.

Colie with his little Baymax.

My tired, handsome husband, who was going on about 4 hours of sleep because of all the work he has to do, and our Easter basket. When he looked through it, he noticed there were a lot of peanut butter eggs. There were some Snickers on the bottom of the bowl for him too :)

Bubble gum eggs!

We got Kenzie a new jacket too, not for Easter, just because I thought she would love it :) And she does.

She's so cute in it!

The kids and I went to my parents house around noon. Doug came at 5, right before dinner. After dinner the kids hunted for money eggs outside. There weren't quite as many kids as normal. The kids found a lot of eggs. Ashlee and Konrad are in Australia so I got put in charge of keeping track of the number of eggs found to help us know when we found them all. I failed at that job though and there are still about 8 or 9 eggs outside. I added wrong and thought we found them all... I guess I'll never have that job again :)

My mom was styling in her puts and shorts :)

Jordan and Sam.

On Saturday and Sunday the kids spent some time outside golfing. This was Jordan's spot. He hacked up my parent's lawn... Oops.

Doug Turns 32

Doug turned 32 last week. He had to work all day and all night, but we tried to make his birthday special anyways. I got up in the morning with him (which I never do... I like to sleep in and lay in bed as long as I can...) and ate breakfast with him. We also decorated the house and made him his dinner of choice: Sweet and Sour Chicken and Rice. We gave him presents and made him Babe Ruth bars. He said despite all the working he had a great day! We just wanted to make him feel loved and appreciated because we love him so much and are happy he's in our family!
The kids did the decorating while I made dinner and dessert.

I think they would be great TPers when they get older.

They made an obstacle course for me to maneuver through while I was cooking.

Ready to open presents.

Jackson made this sign.

Jordan was so excited to give him shoes.

He was very surprised and excited to get a new basketball. He said it's one of the best kinds.

I love Coleman's satisfied face when Doug opened the flip flops from him. He almost told Doug what he got him at dinner. Then Jordan said he forgot what Coleman got Doug and Coleman started to tell Jordan, even when Doug was sitting there. We told Coleman not to say it, and he said he was just telling Jordan:)

Doug also received candy from Coleman.

Jackson was excited to see Doug open the present from him.

Jackson bought some of the present with his own money. He bought him 2 candy bars.

Family hug. (minus me :))

Doug with favorite dessert. Babe Ruth Bars.

Jack had bought some cookies at the store too and let me have one. Kenzie had already eaten one earlier and Jackson said she couldn't have anymore. I told her she could have one bite of mine. She made her one bite count and ate a quarter of my cookie. :) She was quite pleased with herself!
