Doug Turns 32

Doug turned 32 last week. He had to work all day and all night, but we tried to make his birthday special anyways. I got up in the morning with him (which I never do... I like to sleep in and lay in bed as long as I can...) and ate breakfast with him. We also decorated the house and made him his dinner of choice: Sweet and Sour Chicken and Rice. We gave him presents and made him Babe Ruth bars. He said despite all the working he had a great day! We just wanted to make him feel loved and appreciated because we love him so much and are happy he's in our family!
The kids did the decorating while I made dinner and dessert.

I think they would be great TPers when they get older.

They made an obstacle course for me to maneuver through while I was cooking.

Ready to open presents.

Jackson made this sign.

Jordan was so excited to give him shoes.

He was very surprised and excited to get a new basketball. He said it's one of the best kinds.

I love Coleman's satisfied face when Doug opened the flip flops from him. He almost told Doug what he got him at dinner. Then Jordan said he forgot what Coleman got Doug and Coleman started to tell Jordan, even when Doug was sitting there. We told Coleman not to say it, and he said he was just telling Jordan:)

Doug also received candy from Coleman.

Jackson was excited to see Doug open the present from him.

Jackson bought some of the present with his own money. He bought him 2 candy bars.

Family hug. (minus me :))

Doug with favorite dessert. Babe Ruth Bars.

Jack had bought some cookies at the store too and let me have one. Kenzie had already eaten one earlier and Jackson said she couldn't have anymore. I told her she could have one bite of mine. She made her one bite count and ate a quarter of my cookie. :) She was quite pleased with herself!
