Craters of the Moon

We went to Craters of the Moon in Idaho.
On the way there we saw some signs saying we were entering a national forest. When we looked out the window this was our view. Just a bunch of desert bushes :)

There were tons of black lava rock all over.

We went on a walk along a paved path.

We took a break on all the benches we saw.

We were amazed to see the snow on that mountain.

We hiked up a volcano. Some of the kids didn't want to hike up it because they were worried that there would be a hole at the top and we would fall in it. They were happy to find no hole :)

The little rocks were crunchy and broke when stepped on them. It was really weird.

The view on our way back down.

Jordan and Kenzie

It was a fun place to stop. Next time we'll wear close toed shoes and go in the caves there.

Hotel Swimming

We went on a road trip to Yellowstone, stopping at Craters of the Moon and Darrin's house on the way there. We slept in a hotel along the way. The kids swam in the pool.

Doug threw the football into the kids while they jumped in.

Mariners' Game

We went to the Mariners' game with the Kenyons and my parents. It was such a fun time!

A guy in front of us had a flip phone (just like me) :) I found it pretty amusing to see someone else who has one. He was even using it to take pictures.

Coleman's Friend Party

We had Coleman's friend party in July. He only wanted to invite Tessa, his best friend from preschool who he hadn't seen for a year, and his cousins Alli and Cam. It took awhile for Tessa to be okay staying since it had been so long since she'd seen Coleman. They were both feeling a little shy, but by the end everyone was having a great time :)

Kenzie drew a dog for Pin the Tail on the Dog. She was making it a picture of Rocky (from Paw Patrol) and she put him on the paper so could make it look just like him.

Twister

They did an obstacle course that Kenzie made:

They ate ice cream and cookies.

Coleman didn't eat the cookie. We just used it to hole up the candles :)

Happy birthday to me!

He got lots of fun presents!

Musical chairs.

They spent the last little while looking fro frogs and making homes for them.

It was fun celebrating Coleman!
