Basketball

Church and rec basketball have started. Doug is coaching Jackson's and Jordan's high school team and he's the assistant coach for Coleman's team. He also is one of the coaches for the church team. And he's playing on the men's church team. Our nights are filled with practices and games!

Their team is really good. But the one close game they've had ended in the second quarter because a fight broke out between the players. One of the other guys shoved one of our guys in the back after our guy stole the ball from him. Then our guys grabbed the other guy and started punching him. Another kid from our team jumped off the bench to fight too. I think someone from the other team must have jumped in too because two guys from that team were suspended and two from our.  The dad of the kid that punched the other kids was yelling at Doug (I didn't see that happen, I just heard about it after). It was pretty intense. And I think they made the right call to just end the game. A lot of the kids were just too angry to play anymore.

Coleman's having a lot of fun playing! He's made several baskets, including some 3 pointers.
