The kids started soccer practices the week we got back from Hawaii. Kenzie and Coleman are playing for Kent Parks and Rec this year and Jordan is playing Valor. They all love their teams and are having a lot of fun!
Jack has been reffing for Kent Parks and Rec. He only get scheduled for a game every week or two, but he's enjoying it and enjoying have a little more money. He isn't playing rec soccer right now. I'm still trying to find a league for high schoolers that doesn't play games only on Sundays.
Coleman's team is really good and is undefeated. Many of the kids have been on the same team for awhile, and I guess they were also undefeated last year. Coleman's had a few assists this year and has been playing more aggressively which is fun to see.
Kenzie's scored a few goals and had a lot of assists. They are playing on a small field because they didn't have enough girls sign up to put more than 11 on every team. Her team is usually lucky if they have 1-2 subs, luckily Kenzie loves playing the whole game and is used to it:)
The teams have to provide their own line judges. Jackson did it one game.
Jordan's games have been all over. His home games are at Pea Patch Fields in Auburn, but he has had or will have games in Puyallup, Seattle, and Federal Way. This is why we didn't put multiple kids in Valor. We couldn't get three kids in three different locations at the same time. His team has won some and lost some. He's played goalie some, but mostly plays defensive center mid. He scored a goal in his second game!
One of the dad's has a really nice camera and takes pictures during every games. He then shares them with everyone. They turn out so much better than my picture. It's easy to tell which picture are from my camera and from his :)
It was raining so hard during his second game! We couldn't even hear the coach yelling to them.
Jordan look like Sasquatch to me in the background of this picture :)
Cam's stayed a couple weekends with us, so she gets to do soccer Saturdays with us too :)
Doug and Jackson before Jordan's game.
Coleman playing goalie. His coach plays everyone all over so he's just played goalie once, but he did great! It's kind of boring to be goalie on his team though because they're just so good that sometimes the goalie does nothing. Coleman touched the ball at least a couple times while he was goalie though.
Jordan's game last week was in Puyallup and it has a beautiful view of Mount Rainier.
