Cub Camp

The boys and I went to cup camp for a week.  I had to help each day since both boys were there. It was fun spending a lot of time with them!
Jordan building a display case.

Jordan shooting his arrow.

Jordan and some of the boys in this den making ice cream.

There were no spoons so the kids had to be creative to eat it. And they got pretty messy.

They learned about static electricity.

Jordan wouldn't touch this with his fingers because he didn't want to get shocked. The science leader let him use pliers instead.

Jordan making a friendship blanket.

Jackson at archery.

Jackson and his Webelo den making pizza. The cooking leader made a lot of dough jokes and now Jackson loves to say them too.

Jackson sawing. He made stilts for his woods project.

Jackson loves shooting BB guns.

Jordan's den at science.

Jordan trying to crack a geode.

Jordan shooting BB guns.

Jackson at cooking. They made donuts that day. He was kind enough to share his with me.

Trying his stilts.

Making magnetic slime. A very messy process.

Jackson's group spent all their free time playing a game called ninja. They try to hit each others arms, but can only take one step on and make one move on their turn. When Jordan's group had any extra time they just wanted to run wild or fight. It was such a huge difference between Jordan's Cubs den and Jackson's Webelos den.

It was a fun, tiring week! Jordan loved his first year and Jackson is sad it was his last year.

Jackson and Doug had a camp out the last night of cub camp. They did some scout activities and roasted marshmallows. Then they left after breakfast in the morning.
