Success!
I started potty training Jackson on Monday for the second time. Last time I wasn't too successful and gave up after a couple weeks. But this time we have been very successful. He only had two accidents today and one was during his nap and the other was the first time he went potty today, but since then (other than nap time) he hasn't had any accidents! I hope he starts getting the hang of not going while he sleeps. It doesn't bother him when he goes when he's sleeping... He's been in underwear and most the time when I go check on him he's wet and sleeping. Hopefully that will change soon. Before today we hadn't had much success so I was surprised he did so well. Everytime he goes he gets a penny for his gumball machine that has sixlets in it. Actually he gets two pennies. After he gets his first candy he always asks for "2 pennies?" And I let him get another. He usually say "one more penny?" after the second one but I draw the line at two. My question for all you successful potty trainers out there is how do you stop the potty reward? I have no idea how to really stop it, especially at home. Maybe he'll be eating sixlets after going to the bathroom all his life... Here's Jack with his gumball machine.

Yeah! I've been meaning to call and see how it's been going. I picked up the phone to call you tonight, but realized you were probably eating dinner. Glad to know it's working this time.
Eventually my kids stopped asking for the reward...they just get in the habit of going and forget they are supposed to get something. :)
Yeah for Jack! I was wondering the same thing...but I decided to just not give it to her every time. I give her a treat about 2 times a day. When she asks after going potty about candy (which only happens about half of the time) I just say...we can have candy later but not right now.
Good luck today! Hopefully it will go as well!
