Kenyons Come Town

While Kenzie and I were at Girls' Camp, the Kenyons came in town. We were sad to miss them the first couple days they were here. But we were happy to come back to them! Doug and the boys hung out with them while we were away. They played pickleball and ate at Red Robin. I don't know what else :) Doug left Monday to go back to Sandy Valley to help out for the second time. Kenna also went back home that day. She didn't want to by gone from her boyfriend, Ryan, for too long :)
The Crabtrees, Kenyons, my kids, and I went to the Molen's cabin on Lake Cushman on Monday-Tuesday. We had planned to stay another night, but the forests around the lake are burning and it was super smoke when we woke up on Tuesday so we decided to just head back home.

Luckily the kids played in the lake when we got there.

Michelle got these two and Cam matching jammies.

Jackson and Jordan took the jet skit out. We told them the lake is big and that they didn't need to go far away. So they went tot he other side of the lake. We could kind of see them. Although we didn't always know if it was them or another jet skier.

The smoky, firey, cloudy sunset

This is how smokey it was when we woke up!

We came back the Crabtree's house and their dock and lawn were covered in goose poo! Konrad power washed the dock and Ashlee scooped the poo out of the grass.

Chelle and I sat on the floating dock. It was sticky when we were sitting, but we didn't realize quite how sticky. When we got up our swim suit bottoms, legs, feet, hands, anything that was touching the dock had sticky white stuff on it that was hard to wash off. Michelle walked through the goose feathers on the grass after and had a bunch of feathers stuck to her :) Jordan tried to clean the floatie, but it didn't help. The Crabtrees threw it away and bought a new one!

One night when I was driving home from my parents' house, I saw several elk running along side the road!

We went bowling!

Jordan won in the kids' group!

We watched some home videos. This is me!

My cousin Alex came up to visit! We all hadn't seen him in 10-15 years so it was so fun to see him again!

The Ridings and Alex!

Michelle and I took Nati, Kenzie, Jordan, and Coleman to Wild Waves!

We had so much fun together! It was a chilly morning, and the kids were done with water earlier than Chelle and me. So when they went out to the car to eat lunch and then headed to the rides, we rode all the water slides (except the river one, which isn't our favorite kind and is usually really cold) and went in the lazy river. It was so fun to have someone else who wants to do all the slides even if it's a bit chilly, although it wasn't too bad :) We ate lunch at the car by ourselves too and then went in and found the kids riding rides.

We went to watch Jordan's band (without Logan, and the newest member, Garrison) perform in Brother Massey's neighborhood for National Night Out. They did great!

We went to the Mariners' game!

Grandpa brought ice cream for most of the kids!

The Ridings went to the temple.

It was such a fun few weeks! We also played games, lots of pickleball, swam a little (it was kind of chilly that week so we didn't swim much), went to two malls (Michelle was spit on from the second level at Southcenter mall! So gross!), ate out a lot, especially at Taco Time, and did puzzles while watching game shows. We wish the Kenyons just lived here all the time so we could always hang out with them!

Girls Camp

Kenzie and I went to Girls' Camp again this summer! It was a lot of fun! We were at Ensign instead of Zion's, which was new to us both (other than when I went to girls' camp as a youth, but we stayed in A-frames then, and this time we stayed in long houses). I was the cabin mom over Kenzie's group again (I always request that:)).
The girls swung on the rope swing into Crabtree Lake! (Konrad's dad or grandpa or both helped build it! When I was young there were leeches in it so everyone called it Leech Lake. Some leaders refused to go in because they were traumatized as kids by the leeches)

Kenzie, Delaynie, Morgan, Bella (I think her name is Bella:))

Delaynie is a hard worker and very helpful!

Our cabin group. Lynnea was my fellow cabin mom!

One day they were able to float the river in their life jackets. Kenzie and her friends are in the left of the picture. Lorelei, Morgan, Delaynie, and Kenzie is in the bright green life jacket.

We did a faith walk and had to stand in line for a long time while we waited for out turn. Kenzie and Delaynie found a way to rest on each other :)
