Tacoma Winter Rubik's Cube Tournament

Jordan had another Rubik's Cube tournament this weekend. He did great and had a lot of fun!

He had lots of personal bests! He said while practicing he had his best 3x3 solve ever. It was around 5 seconds I think. Amazing!

Food Lifeline

Coleman, Jordan, Doug, and I volunteered at Food Lifeline. We had a great time and weighed and bagged lots of pinto beans!
Doug and Jordan were too quick to go to the car so they missed the picture.

Youth Temple Trip

We had another ward youth temple trip!
Most our yw that were there (one didn't want to wait for everyone to be ready for the picture because she really wanted a brownie :))

2025 Bingo

For one of our young women activities, the girls made 2025 bingo cards filled with goals for the year. I had Jordan and Coleman make one too. Kenzie's isn't finished yet, but hopefully she'll finish it soon so I can share hers too:)

More Swim Meets

Jordan had two more swim meets this week. One on Thursday at the YMCA, and a huge one on Saturday in Federal Way. The one in Federal Way had over 600 swimmers, I think. Doug and I only watched his first two races because Kenzie and Coleman had tennis lessons and the meet was streamed on YouTube so we could watch from home.

Federal Way:

Jordan on block 5, ready to swim the 50 free style. The event had 45 heats!

They wait at the edge of the pool until the next heat starts.

They showed the times on a big screen. Jordan's was 30.47.

On block 4, ready for the 100 free style.

Jordan's time was 1:10.57

The 200 free style relay ready to start.

Jordan was the first swimmer and he gave his team a strong start!

29.87 was his best 50 yard swim time of the day.

They made an error on the stream and said Jordan's team (and another team) came in second, but his came in first in their heat!

Jordan's 400 freestyle relay  time was 1:10.05 for the 100 yards he swam.

His team came in first in their heat again! He said all the Kentwood freestyle relay teams came in first in their heats!

It was a lot fun watching him swim. He's doing great and getting stronger everyday! It's also nice because it's always warm when we watch him :)

Driving Mishap

When I took Kenzie out driving for the first time on real roads she wanted to stop by McDonald's and go through the drive through. But when we got to the pay window, she got a little too close (she wanted to make sure she was close enough to reach!) and hit the yellow post outside the building. After I helped her turn the wheel correctly to back up, the worker guy told us the car wasn't damaged, it just had some yellow paint on it :) It's actually not too noticeable unless you get really close :)

New Drawers

Doug with the help of my dad, Jordan, and Coleman (who was there against his will. He said he was tortured for a couple hours out there in the cold:)) built two drawers for our kitchen to replace to broken ones! They look great! And so does he!
