Horse Crazy

Kenzie has become super horse obsessed lately.

She checks out books about them from the library and is always printing facts and pictures of them.

She wrote down a bunch of facts she learned.

Made a horse out of a toilet paper roll, Styrofoam, and string. 

She's been learning horse anatomy.

And decorated her whiteboard with horse pictures.

And more horse pictures and a horse calendar on her wall.

Covid

On Jordan's birthday, Jackson tested positive for Covid! Coleman probably had it the week before even though his test was negative. And I probably had it at the same time as Jackson even though I also tested negative. Coleman had a somewhat high fever and was so tired. Jackson had a low fever and was extra tired and had a sore throat. I had a really bad sore throat. I usually don't take medicine (probably mostly because I can't swallow pills:) but I wanted it that week! Jackson also had to miss several days of soccer and the end of his basketball season. 

 

Jordan's 14th Birthday

Jordan had a great birthday! It was on a Sunday and some of us were sick so we just stayed home all day. 

He opened presents once we all woke up.

A pear rubik's cube.

Pokemon

He got some great Pokemon cards in his packs.

He wanted peanut butter balls for his dessert.

Doug let him stay up until midnight playing video games.

Coleman always writes funny cards for everyone's birthdays.

Wow, it seems a long time ago that you were turning 1 and 4. it's been soooo long I can't even remember it. it was probably when the caveman were here, but 10 and 13 years after we've achieved so much. you might be able to beat Jack in pokemon when he uses the best deck and you use the worst deck (:!

Guemes Island

Kenzie and I went to Guemes Island with the young women last weekend. We had a great time!

The house we stayed in was right on the beach.

Lynnea suggested they switch places so Jenna would be on the lower ground. :)

Delaynie found a shield among the driftwood. She used it to block rocks that Kenzie threw at her.

The other girls showed us what gooey ducks are and we spent a long time walking along the beach looking for them.

The ferry terminal. The ferry ride was really short and we had to stay in the car the whole time.

Tacoma Stars

We went to a Tacoma Stars indoor soccer game. It was so fun!

Doug bought balls to try to throw into the car. 

After the stars scored goals, they would often throw a little soccer ball into the crowd. Kenzie ran down there to try to get them to throw one to her. They didn't ever throw one to her...

But they did throw one to Coleman! He was so excited!
