Hawaii Day 16 - Temple, Kokololio and Recital

On Saturday my parents, Michelle, Richard, Ashlee and I went to the temple to do some sealings. We sealed my dad to his parents. It was a really cool experience! Then we went to Kokololio again and then the kids performed the recital they have been practicing for for the last couple weeks.

Doug was almost the only uncle allowed to come. The other uncles were telling the kids to not make it too long, so they were uninvited for awhile. But in the end, everyone came.

Kenzie and Nati organized it all.

Alli and Kenna's dancing

After the dance portion of the recital, we had refreshments that the kids had prepared (brownies, cookies, popcorn, and I think a few other things).

They also performed a play which was pretty entertaining. Coleman was the lights man. He was also the announcer for the recital, announcing each performance while the lights were out and Jordan held a light over his head.

Jackson was the dad and he died by falling off the roof. His daughters, Kenzie and Nati (Britley and Blakely, I think) were very upset, and Nati wanted to make sure she got her $5 that Jack owed her before he died :)

The girls had to go live with a mean man (Jordan) and Alli was living their too. Jordan wouldn't let them eat much of anything and pushed them around. Luckily their teacher (Kenna) called the ninja cops (Sam) who arrested Jordan. And then Kenzie and Nati went to live with Kenna and her daughter, (Camryn).

The entire cast. Kimber was supposed to be in it, but she ended up going to meet up with a friend in Waimea, and got back after the show had started, which made her miss the dance she was in. The kids did a great job!

Hawaii Day 15 - Kokololio

On Friday my family (except Jack) and my mom and Kimber stayed home in the morning while everyone else went to Waimea to jump off the cliff. They got home around lunch time and then we all went to Kokololio.

Coleman was disappointed that I didn't get a picture of him looking at me the day before so he had me take one.

Doug refuses to put sunscreen on at home before the beach (like the kids and I do) because he doesn't want it to rub off on the car seat and buckle :)

These kids don't really build sand creations. They just dig holes.

Doug and Richard played baseball with a grapefruit.

Cam's doing this face and thumbs up a lot! It's so cute.

Kenzie has been wanting her hair in a ponytail with two braids coming out of it.

The kids like to walk home from Kokololio once their ready to be done, but the parents aren't.

Hawaii Day 14 - Kokololio

Yesterday we went to Kokololio most of the day. The Crabtrees and my mom went to Haliewa in the morning and the men golfed so Shell and I and our kids went to the beach first and everyone else met up with us in the afternoon.
Doug's golfing picture of the day.

Kenzie was nervous about swimming today because she didn't want to get stung by a jellyfish.

Kenna jumped right in when we got there, but jumped out again pretty quick because it was too cold.

Coleman going in the water.

Shell convinced Kenzie to go in with her.

Coleman, Jack, and Nati

Jordan was stomping hard trying to make deep footprints.

Playing in the sand.

Shell and Nati relaxing on the beach.

Coleman loves jumping the waves!

Konrad, Sam, and Doug waiting for a wave.

Ashlee noticed Doug waving his arms up and down, then the kids eventually joined in.  Apparently they were doing the wave dance.

Sam gets a lot of distance when body surfing.

These two lasted the longest (with Doug and I, they're not quite old enough to stay there alone:)) at the beach. They were jumping waves, making and throwing sand balls, and playing the sand.

After dinner, my mom and sisters and I went to Costco and stopped for gelato on the way home. Yum!
