Creative Mackenzie

I love this one. The puppies are all fighting or whining, but the mom just things they're all a nice family :)

I'm the sadist one Why are you laughing at me?

The other side:
Everyone (including a flying Jesus:)) is laughing at her fat hair. For a week or so she really wanted to get her hair thinned because she thought it was too fat if we didn't straighten it.

She also really wants overalls. She made some paper ones to help get the point across.

Swim Lessons

Coleman started swim lessons again to prepare for summer. He's doing Kinderswimmer again.  He's the only one in his class, which means he gets lots of practice! He loves the lessons!

Doug's Birthday

Doug turned 35 years old this year! He kept saying he is now midlife. I guess he only plans to live until he's about 70. Hopefully he's wrong and lives until he's at least 100.
He took the day off work so we could play all day. Although the kids had piano and orchestra and dance so we couldn't do too much.

Kenzie wrapped a few surprises for him.

Some change! She also wrapped up pencil for him.

We wrote him a note to tell him he had a couple more presents downstairs.

It was a new bike!

A new helmet

Of course he wanted to play his Switch as a family, especially Arms, his favorite game.

Then we went on a family bike ride around the neighborhood. Once we get a bike rack we'll be able to ride other places :)

He had Babe Ruth Bars for his treat, but they are too hard to put candles in so we just stuck one in a cookie. I wanted to give him 35 candles, but he only wanted 1.
It was fun celebrating him!

Easter

We had a great Easter!

We colored Easter eggs on Easter Eve.

We hunted for eggs and baskets on Easter morning.

Jack thought his basket might be in the crawl space.

Kenzie had to remove some giant legos to find her hidden basket.

The kids quietly played with toys while we watched conference.

In between conference sessions we went to my parents' house. We colored Easter Eggs. Then we ate a delicious dinner. The Crabtrees, Noels, and Holly and Ed were all there too. After getting dinner mostly cleaned up the kids hunted money eggs outside. This year most of the big girls (everyone older than Alli I think) didn't hunt. Ashlee and I thought they were crazy. We'd both still hunt if we were allowed too :)

I love how most of the pictures include the kids running. You have to be quick to find the most eggs, unless of course you're too fast and run past them all:)

He didn't even want to stop looking for eggs to look at me for the picture.

First egg count.

We didn't end up finding them all. Ashlee thought there were 10 less than there actually were (and she keeps track of how many have been found) and Mckaye hid some extra eggs with fruit and vegetables hidden inside.

Easter was the day before my mom's birthday an 2 days before Doug's so we sang happy birthday to them.

My dad got out the fire extinguisher even though we didn't put all the candles on that we needed to.

My mom didn't want to to blow out any candles so Doug did it all himself.
