Biking

We got Jackson a new bike from Craigslist. His other one was too small for him.

He loves it.

Coleman started learning how to petal.

Pool Party

After Jackson's first soccer game, we went to a pool party at his primary teachers' house. His class had earned it by being reverent in class.  He was happy to have a pool to cool him off after being so hot from playing soccer :)
Jordan, Kenzie, and Coleman jumping on the trampoline.

Soccer

Jackson has started soccer. We've been having a hot (for Washington :)) summer, and it has still been so nice this month which means I'm enjoying soccer a lot so far this year. Jackson is also playing better than before so it's fun to watch him and the other boys on his team playing hard. He has the same coach as last year and 2 of the boys on the team were on his team last year. He was excited to have the same coach. His first game was a jamboree and they just played half a game. Jackson played most of the time and was so tired by the end.
He's number 1.

Kicking the ball.

Kicking the ball again.

So hot and tired.

Dance Class

Kenzie started dance class a couple weeks ago. She loves it! She was so happy and cute during the class. We don't usually get to watch her classes, only 1 per month (which I don't... I love watching my kids do these things :)) but I was happy to watch her that day.
The first thing she learned was to sit like a dancer.

Doing a dinosaur stomp to warm up.

She kept her hands on her waist most of the time when she was walking.

Miss Ann told me the girls should have there hair up for class. But I still forgot the second class.
Hopefully I'll remember this week :)

Practicing marching with pointy toes.

Hula hooping.

Fox Hollow Farm

We went to Fox Hollow Farm after everyone else went back to school. The kids loved it! We were there for about 5 hours and they could have stayed 5 hours more probably :)

They played in the hay and corn box:

Kenzie is swinging while Jordan waits for his turn.

Coleman wanted me to take a picture of him jumping in.

Jack buried himself.

Jack and Colie played at the play housed together.

A lot of the girls (maybe all of them) in our group and a couple boys sat up on the little deck most of the time we were at the play houses. Kenzie sat up with them too. She said they were just eating play food, but not really playing house or anything.

I asked her if she talked to the other girls, and she said no. She didn't even smile much when she up there, but she said she had fun. She's usually pretty shy.

We went back up to the hay/corn box area and the kids were able to go in the cages with the kittens and hold them. Jackson, Kenzie, and Coleman went it. Jordan didn't want to. Kenzie and Jack loved holding the kitties.

Coleman just sat on a chair the whole time. I was surprised he went in the cage; he doesn't like animals. Maybe he thought he had to go in.

We found a bunny on the way to the car and Kenzie stopped to pet it.

On our way home we had to make a stop at the ENT to get a piece of corn out of Coleman's ear. I'm not sure exactly how it got in there. He's never put anything in his ear before, so I'm thinking it had to be an accident. He came up to me that morning and said he had corn in his ear. I didn't believe him, but after he came back a little later he told me again it was in there I looked in his ear and there it was. My friend told me to just go to the Ear, Nose, Throat Doctor right away because anyone else might make it go in further and then they'd have to do surgery to get it out. That had happened to her friend's kid. I called the ENT after it happened and they said it wasn't an emergency and we made an appointment for later that day. As we were getting in the car to leave Fox Hollow Farm I asked Coleman if he did put the corn in his ear and he said "I'm so sorry." :) He's never said that before and it was so cute how he said it. Anytime I would ask him why he put the corn in or if he did put the corn in he would say the same thing.

He did awesome at the doctor. He held really still and didn't cry or anything. I was pretty surprised. And I was surprised how easily the corn came out. The doctor said it was a good thing that no one else tried to get it out :)

This was the ear with the corn.
While we were in the waiting room at the doctor's office we received a lot of attention from the other people in there. There was an older couple and 2 women in there with us. The wife asked if they were all mine and told me I didn't look old enough to have that many kids. After talking with her husband she asked how old I was. Then she said something about me getting it over with when I was young. The other women asked how old the kids were. There may have been other questions too. The wife said that the kids were so well behaved that I must beat them daily. I thought that was kind of funny. They were being pretty good, just looking through magazines. I used to hate taking all the kids with me to doctor's appointments, but they do so much better now, I don't mind it.
It was quite an adventurous day for us :)

Wild Waves Finale

We went to Wild Waves for the last time this year with Doug. I've decided he's bad luck, because the weather wasn't so great again. And it sprinkled a little bit. The only 2 times it rained at all on us this year was when Doug came with us. Jackson, Coleman, and I hit the water slides first, while the others played in the wave pool. None of them wanted to do water slides. Coleman only did one and he thought it was scary. He rode them when Doug was here and loved them. I'm not sure why he didn't like it this time. Jackson and I took Coleman back to the other and then rode the rest of the slides Jackson's tall enough to ride. It was fun riding all the slides with him. Then we went back to the others.
We found the like this. They were cold from the wave pool and the hot tubs weren't even hot. Then we went over to the kiddie pool and the activity pool. After that we ate lunch and spent the rest of the day riding rides.

Kenzie was super cute helping Colie get in the plane and buckled.

Jack hung out with me while Kenzie and Colie went on the train ride and Jordan and Doug were on the bumper cars.

Coleman rode this ride at least 5 times. He loves it. I think it might be his favorite. He rode it by himself most of the time. He was so cute riding it around.

Kenzie loves to do her dancer pose.

Coleman loves to see if he's big enough to ride the rides.

Jackson chose to ride this one with Doug. It's one he can't ride without someone bigger. Each of the kids got to choose a ride to ride with Doug. Jordan did bumper cars, Kenzie chose the paratroopers, and Colie rode the roller coaster with him.

Jack loves sitting in the back. Doug said this was his favorite ride that day. I'm glad he likes rides like this, because I hate them. I would have made Jack sit in the middle rows if I had to ride it. I hate heights and the falling feeling... Doug loves both of those.

Jordan has wanted to do this ride all year, but I haven't let him since I didn't want Jack to feel bad about not being able to ride it. I told him he could this time. He rode it and Doug did it with him. He loved it. Doug felt a little sick after though.

We let the kids choose a game to play. Some of the games let kids under 48 inches win every time. Colie played that game and was excited to win a football. The others all lost their games. Kenzie was really sad about it. I kept telling her that she wasn't likely to win anything. Now she wants a giant monkey and small pig for her birthday.

Denny Creek

We hiked 1 and half miles to Denny Creek with a bunch of friends. Then the kids played in the creek. The rocks are smooth and flat. They make a fun water slide for the kids. The water level was perfect for the kids, really low. :) Coleman hiked about half of the way there and more than half on the way back. I was happy he did so well. Jordan was playing with him on the way back and kept him happier to be walking. Hopefully next year he'll be a happy hiker. The other kids all did great hiking.

Kenzie didn't like the water very much. It was pretty cold. So she sat by me a lot and took a lot of picture, including this one of Jordan.

I loved Kenzie's hiking outfit :)
