Just the Kids and Me

Doug went to Singapore at the beginning of the month for work (maybe he'll blog about that...or at least give me the pictures so I can put them on here for him) . It was the longest he's left us for. Luckily we survived :) We played, went to the park a couple times, cleaned, got ready to start homeschool again, went to the boys soccer practice, had a couple girls' nights, did lots and lots of sewing, had swimming lessons, the boys started piano lessons, and soccer games.  We kept busy :)
Kenzie fell asleep on my bed around 4 or 5. She was laying there for a couple minutes then the next time I looked at her, she was sleeping.

I found Kenzie swinging in the baby swing with her binky and blankie. She still wished she was a baby.

Jackson shredding the cheese for quesadillas. One of the first nights Doug was gone, I let the boys make Mac 'n Cheese. They had never made it before but I was helping them know what to do. I went upstairs to switch the laundry and they said the water was boiling and asked if they could dump the noodles in. I told them yes. I think Jordan asked a few more questions then ran down and told Jack that he was supposed to add the cheese powder to it when he added the noodles. Jackson listened to him then asked me if that was right. He was sad that it wasn't. They were even more sad with how the Mac 'n cheese turned out since most of the cheese drained out with the water. Only Colie liked it. The next day they tried again and it turned out much better :)

Jordan looks like he's sleeping on the counter :)

I didn't get to see any of Jackson's first game. Jordan's started about 20 minutes after Jack's and they play at different fields. My parents were very helpful and met me at Jackson's game and watched him play. They brought him to the school Jordan plays at after Jack's game was over. Then we ate lunch with them and the Crabtrees joined us too.

Jordan is loving soccer. He told me it's his favorite sport in the whole wide world. He loves being goalie.

We keep telling him to be more aggressive and kick the ball more :)

Last Day of Wild Waves

Now that school is starting again Wild Waves has closed. We went for the last time this year last week. We went with Ashlee and her girls.
Coleman didn't want to play in the water very much. He mostly just sat by me.

Kenzie loved playing in the kiddie pool while Jackson and Jordan were in the lazy river with their cousins.

She kept covering her eyes when she went down the slide to avoid getting them sprayed with water.

Jackson was so happy to ride some of the bigger rides with Sam. I was happy she's tall enough to count as an adult. Jack is getting bored of most of the rides he can go on but isn't tall enough to go on the rides he wants to go one. Hopefully by next year he'll be tall enough to.
He loved the pirate ship.

Soccer

The boys are playing soccer this fall. They had their first practices last week. Both of them had a lot of fun and are loving soccer. Jordan was nervous to play because he wasn't going to be on Jackson's team, but once we found out his coach is in my sister's ward and 2 of the kids were in her preschool he was much less nervous.
 Jordan

Jackson's team. His coach had them running a lot and stretching and working on skills. They also scrimmaged and Jackson was excited that he scored 2 goals during it.

Coleman trying to kick the ball.

Jordan loves soccer so much he slept with his ball for a couple nights.

Sunday Best

Our photo shoot one Sunday before church.

It was a little bright for my kids :)

Jordan looks like he's going to cry.

I love how Coleman is copying Jackson. He's always doing what his siblings are doing.

Jordan wanted to have silly face pictures.

Don't you hate when only the oldest child isn't smiling. He should know to just smile and smile and smile until I tell him we're done.

I love Colie and Kenzie's happy faces :) They were having fun jumping.

Then they fell down and both started crying.

And Jordan pretending to make a sad face.
I love this one of my boys.
Jack wanted one of just him and Coleman. He loves Colie so much. He often tells me he's so happy Coleman is in our family and that he's the cutest person in the world :) Coleman can always cheer Jackson up when Jack's sad.

 Jordan and me.

Don't you hate even more when the mom is the only one with her eyes closed when everyone else is looking good?
 Our family.
Kenzie wanted to be in mine and Doug's picture. She was excited Jackson included her in it :)
