Last Day of the Reunion

On Saturday we had a Seattle day. We went to Pike Place Market, rode a ferry to Bainbridge Island, ate lunch there, rode the ferry back, went to the Space Needle, came home and ate pizza here. Then we hung out here for the rest of the night. We talked  and played games. The kids stayed up way too late and were super grouchy the next day :) Every one except Deveny and her kids, and Joan left by the time we got up Sunday morning and they went to the airport around 9:30. We had so much fun having everyone here and can't wait until we get to do it again in 9 or so years :)

Everyone split up at Pike Place. We got some donuts and then made sure we knew how to get to the ferry.

Eating donuts.

He didn't want any.

Jordan only wanted them if I fed him. He didn't want to touch them.

Doug and I found a carving that said "S+D" so we took a picture of us by it :)

Coleman loved looking out at the water on the ferry.

Deveny, Joan, Jordan.

Jordan and Jackson. It was too bright for them :)

When we got to Bainbridge Island Jordan said he thought we were in Hawaii because it was so hot :) He also later said he wanted to see the bridge, the Bainbridge:)

Some of us went to a Thai place for lunch. It was really good. The kids were a little energetic so as soon as they were done eating I took them outside to run around.

 I snuck in their picture:)

Isaac, Mckay, Jackson.
Some of the family went up the Space Needle. I didn't want to go so I took Kenzie and Colie to the water fountain ball near the Space Needle.  The boys (including Doug) loved it up there.

Deveny, Mckay, Jackson, Jordan, Doug

Joan, Deveny, and some of the grandchildren made us this cute candy sign. We've been loving eating all the candy from it!

Thanks everyone for coming! Come back and visit anytime! We love visitors! :)

Preschool Graduation

I can't believe he's big enough to graduate preschool!

My dad commented on how well dress Jordan was for his graduation :)

They started off with singing some of their favorite songs.

Jordan watched the other kids a lot and followed what they were doing :)

Doing Tooty-Ta. Ashlee always has the parents get up and do this one too. My dad was there and was doing it and I videoed him doing it a little. It was funny :) But I can't believe I didn't get a picture of him too.

Jordan getting his diploma and portfolio. Ashlee always makes awesome portfolios for the kids that have some of their art projects, writing samples, and pictures she's taken. Jackson still likes looking back through his :)

Jordan's class. (The graduation was for both of her classes, which is why all the kids aren't in this picture.)

Reunion Day 2

On Friday we went on a hike to Coal Creek Falls. Everyone seems to like it. Doug loved it. It was his first time doing it. He carried Kenzie pretty much the entire way. He was wondering how I did it myself. But when it's just me, she knows she has to walk. On the way there, Kenzie asked who was going to carry Coleman, and when I told her I would, she was really happy and said daddy could carry her :) After the park we went out to lunch. We went with Deveny's family and Joan to Kidd Valley at Coulon Beach. We were meeting at Coulon after so it was very convenient to eat there. I forgot that it was there until after we were done the hike. Then the kids played at the park for a little while, and we played some baseball, and played at the park a little more. After dinner we just hung out at the the house. Jordan and I went to his preschool graduation. Doug's Uncle Keith, Aunt Cindy, and cousins Darcy and Jeremy came over to see everyone that night too. When it got dark Doug pulled out his telescope and showed everyone who was interested Saturn. He said they were pretty impressed :)
My family.

My family again.

Darrin, Carson, Shawnee, Damon, Daisy in the front.

Brooklyn, Deveny, Preston, Mckay in the front.

Back: Candis, Ryan, Lincoln, Middle: X, Isaac, Anna, Front: Eva (Isaac kept making that face while everyone was taking pictures, until Doug pointed it out, then he laughed about it :))

I'm amazed at how well all the kids stood there and smiled, or at least looked, at the camera.

The boys running up ahead.

Deveny, Mckay, Brooklyn, Jordan's head.

Anna, Brooklyn.

 Me, Coleman, Jordan.

 Jordan

At the falls. Jackson's trying to walk across the log. The water level was even lower than it was last time we were there.

Joan taking a picture. Some of the kids climbed above the water fall. You can kind of see one in a blue sweatshirt going up or down. I think you can kind of see the falls too. They're not very big :)

Anna, Lauren, Eva.

Jason, Doug, Deveny, Joan, Candis, Tyler, Darrin

Coleman. He loved throwing rocks into the tiny amount of water.

Grandma and her grandkids,
Back: Joan, Lauren holding Grace, Hunter, Damon, Carson, Middle: X, Brooklyn, Eva, Mackenzie, Coleman (with me holding him up because he wouldn't stay there without me) Avery, Jordan, Isaac, Jackson Front: Lila

Jordan, Jackson, Anna

Kenzie.

Most of the kids.

Darrin climbed up on the rock and started dripping water on the kids. I think they were a little confused at first. Kenzie ran away pretty quickly.

We found lots of slugs and caterpillars on the trail. Everyone was pretty interested in them. I think slugs are pretty gross so I would have preferred to not see them :) We also saw a dead mole (or something) This is what everyone was looking at in the above picture.

The next pictures are from when we played baseball.
Jason pitching to Kenzie.

It was a fun busy day!
