16 months

Coleman is 16 months old. I've been meaning to write about what he's doing these days for awhile. There's probably so much that I've already forgotten since he's changing  so much all the time :)
He now sits forward facing in his car seat. He's done this for a week or 2.
He doesn't really say much. He says Gaga! When he sees me though. I think he says it to most people when he's excited to see them.
He walks about half of the time.
He's a very smart baby, and has realized that if he just cries or throws his food then he doesn't have to feed himself. So we mostly feed him. He does finger foods my himself, but not spoon foods.
He loves the blanket his Aunt Michelle made. We put him to bed with it once, when we stopped wrapping him at night, and when Ii got him up in the morning he was whining for it. Since then, he wants it a lot and gets so excited when he sees it.
He loves drinking milk and water.
He has his binky a lot.
He loves graham crackers.
He loves sweets.
He loves throwing balls.
He loves throwing anything.
He gets scared of other kids pretty easily.
He eats oatmeal every morning for breakfast.
He likes to be tickled.
He likes being held.
He likes to give kisses and usually laughs after giving them.
He loves making people laugh.
He loves watching TV.
He loves yogurt and applesauce.
He loves his family, including his grandparents and cousins.
He's cute. :)

First Day of Preschool

Jordan had his first day of preschool at the beginning of October.  He was so excited for it. He was especially excited for puzzles and field trips. :)  On his first day he read books and played puzzles. He was the bell ringer. He painted and played with blocks. When he was playing with the blocks he built a cool thing, but then he left to go potty. When he came back his tower had been knocked down by some of the other kids, but they built something really cool. They other kids had thought he was done playing and tried to build something super cool when Miss Ashlee told them he was just in the bathroom :) (Now Kenzie asks him everyday that he plays blocks if the other kids knocked it down :))They ate apples for snack and played at the park. He learned one kid's name and talked to him, but didn't play with him. :)

Read do go with his name tag on.

Answering question of the day.

Family Birthday Party

Ashlee hosted a combined birthday party for Kenzie and Alli since their birthdays are less than a week apart.
The kids played for a little bit, then the birthday girls opened presents, then we had cake and ice cream. It was a great party!

I love Sam's face in this picture.

All about Kenzie

Likes to say "What did I say" when we laugh at her.
Doesn't like to get her hair done, but will usually comply when I let her put on lip gloss and chap stick.
Likes to choose hair accessories.
Loves having her fingernails and toenails painted.
Loves her binky and blanky.
Her blanky is falling apart. I'm not even sure I'll be able to fix it well.
Is very stubborn.
Excellent fit thrower.
One of her favorite fit-throwing lines is "I can't walk." And then she just stands there or sits down or lays down.
Hates when Coleman cries and tries to make him stop by giving him things.
In the car when he screams she either cries or covers her ears and glares at him.
Makes us laugh a ton.
Doesn't eat a lot. She wants to snack all day.
She loves eating desserts.
Loves Dora and wants to watch it all day everyday, with a few Diego's thrown in there too.
Is super cute.
Asks where we're going almost every morning and afternoon after her nap.
Loves reading books.
Loves going to the library to play on the computer. And gets very upset if she can't play on the computer.
Likes dressing up.
Loves nursery.
Also loves the play place at Fred Meyer. But has to make a difficult decision each time we go. Play place or cookie? It's a tough one :)
Gives great hugs.
Loves swinging and would spend the whole time at the park swinging if I'd push her that long. She likes to go high. At the beginning of the summer she only liked to be pushed very softly, but has slowly gotten more and more brave.
Likes to choose the music in the car.
Loves playing with her cousins.
Does great tricks. Her cousins taught her to say what each of them say awhile ago, and now that has extended to most of my side of the family. I'm not sure she has something for Jack and Jordan though... I always forget what they say. I want to remember what she says so here it all is:
Alli: Haha
Sam: Scooby Doo diaper diaper (I think she added diaper diaper)
Kimber: Hi!
Ashlee: Go to bed! :)
I don't think Konrad has one...
Grandma: I love you.
Grandpa: Mwa ha ha
Shell: Stinky toes.
Richard: Busted!
Kenna: Can I? (Kenzie says this all the time now too)
Nati: Ga-ga (I think that's what she says)
Me: I love you!
Daddy: If you don't make good choices I'll tickle you!
Colie: Uh-oh
She also has a few more sayings:
Toto's mom (from a book she loves) "it's okay to cry, but it's better to think of what to do."
Don't run away from mommy when she's trying to help you.
Our family work motto: Work, work, until the job is done.

Kenzie's Birthday!

Kenzie turned 3 in September! She was so excited for her birthday. All week before her birthday we kept asking her how old she was and how old she was going to be on her birthday. She would hold up 2 fingers, than 3 fingers. Once time she said "Not 1, not 2, 3!" But on the day of her birthday she was sick. She wasn't as excited as we thought she would be. She was still really excited though. Especially for her presents.

The first thing she did after waking up was open her presents, even before eating.

 3!

She loved feeding her baby doll. The baby made sucking sounds and after awhile would fall asleep. When they baby would wake up she would go back to her and feed her again.

Kenzie said this Dora was her favorite present. Thanks Kenyons! :)

Coleman loved her too.

Feeding the baby again.

This is the blanket Jack made. It's pink on one side and white with blue stars on the other side.

This is the pillow Jordan made. It's the same fabric as Jack used.

He was so excited for her open it. :)

She used the blanket and pillow right away for the baby.

Coleman finally learned how to drink from a sippy cup! And shortly after mastered the straw. It's was an exciting milestone for us all :)

Kenzie loved these Dora jammies. And she has some new hair clippies in her hair too.

Coleman loved the baby too. Before I had wrapped the doll, I showed Coleman that she could giggle when you pushed on her tummy. He loved it and was so sad when I hid it so Kenzie wouldn't find it.

He tried to sneak a drink too.

Kenzie got lots of bandaids! She got another pack the next day from Grandma Crabtree and was a very excited girl to receive so many.

New Dora sheets.

She put 3 bandaids on right away. Then added 2 more the next day. She loves putting them on.

 More Dora toys.
Jordan was excited to see Isa in there. He likes to pretend he's Isa.

New shirt from Grandma Dance.

Cute stick-on earrings.

After getting ready we went to the Puyallup Fair.

We let her bring her baby in the car.

The boys love these kind of things.

Jack and Jordan at the end of the slide.

Jackson talked a very hesitant Jordan into riding the kiddie coaster. When we told him he rode it last year, he decided he was brave enough to go again.

Kenzie was feeling a little sick and wanted to be carried most of the time.

Kenzie rode the Merry-go-round twice. Once with me and once with Doug.

While watching Kenzie one the ride, Jack decided he wanted to buy her a present from the fair. She chose a Dora beach ball.

We saw animals.

They milked a cow.

There was even a zebra.

And a ze-donk.

After the fair we came home and ate dinner. Kenzie chose Mac and Cheese. Then we sang happy birthday and ate cupcakes.

She just said she wanted pink ones.

Jack made this fun picture with Kenzie's new dot stamps. He loved using them the rest of the night. He decided he wanted more dot stamps and other art supplies for Christmas.

After cupcakes we watched some new Doras we got Kenzie for her birthday.

Then they all went to bed:

She's getting so big. I can't believe she's 3 already. We all love her so much!
