Father's Day

We thought it was pretty funny that Coleman's birthday was on Father's Day this year since Jackson's birthday was on Mother's Day. The boys had fun playing with Doug during nap time and giving him the cards they made him and the candy we got him. Jackson saved a Gatorade he got after one of his t-ball games to give to Doug since he knew Doug loved it. He was really excited to give it to him.

We went to Ashlee's house for dinner and to celebrate Father's Day and Coleman's birthday.

We got my dad a couple bags of pistachios. He guessed that's what it was and Jordan said "yep!" Didn't even try to keep it a surprise once he guessed :)

12 Months

Coleman turned 1 on Sunday. I can't believe how fast time goes. My baby is already 1. Crazy.

He has mastered clapping and loves when we sing "If you're happy and you know it." He starts clapping as soon as we start singing most of the time.

When he claps he claps with his right hand on top and only moves that hand. It's really cute :)

He loves his bink. He has it most of the time. Part of my thinks I should start not letting him have it all day now that he's one, but the other part says we're going to Hawaii soon and I'll probably let him have it there so he doesn't eat too much sand and because he probably won't be sleeping as much as needs to and will be hot all day and so he probably won't be too happy without it. Especially since he's not as happy without it sometimes now...

He likes to look at books. He prefers to do it on his own though. He doesn't like to sit still most of the time to have them read to him. His favorite book so far is Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See.

He's finally figured out how to use a sippy cup. I need him to figure out how to use a straw though so he can drink his smoothies by himself. It would make lunch time much less stressful :)

He's also great at playing So Big. He stretches up so high when he does it. I love it!

He loves being outside and crawling around.

I'm having a hard time figuring out what to feed this boy now. He's been eating yogurt for breakfast everyday for a few weeks. But soon that's going to be his bedtime snack as soon as his formula is gone. And he eats smoothies for lunch and dinner. He doesn't really like a lot of chewing food. He seems to like breads though. But most of the foods we eat for lunch and dinner he won't eat much of. I keep telling Doug we need to bring our blender to Hawaii so he can eat there. But Doug seems to think the blender there will be good enough. I guess we'll see...

My sweet boy and me.

And here's us a year ago:

He's so little. and I miss how he used to wrinkle up his forehead. I love that boy!

Here's some things about Coleman:
Weight: 18lbs (3 percentile)
Height: 29 inches
Head: 46cm
Laughs a ton. More than I remember my other kids laughing.
Sometime he comes over to me and lays his head on my lap.
Love to be held.
Get so excited when Doug gets home. He always goes over to him as soon as he seems him. When I'm holding him he wants down so he can crawl over to him as fast as he can.
He loves to play with balls.
He's said things that kind of sound like: mama, dada, Jack, Kenzie, Jordan, up. When he wants up he goes "uuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhh" I'm not sure if he's just making noise or trying to say up. :) Today he looked right at me and said "mama." So I think he knows what that means.
He seems to prefer to play with choking hazards. He's good and finding them and  likes to hold them and gets mad when I take them away.
Loves him brothers and sister.
Loves to point. I think he's starting to point to things he wants.
Loves playing it water.
Still wakes up too early. We just moved him into the boys' room and moved them into the loft since I think Doug's showering has woken him up a couple days this week and when the boys get up he gets sad when he sees them. Hopefully it will encourage him to sleep in later.
Is adored by his brothers and sister.
Is so cute.

T-Ball

Jackson finished soccer last weekend. He loved playing. He says he likes it better than soccer. Although, at his last practice they played a game of kickball and he said he liked that more than t-ball. Too bad there isn't a kickball league. :) He's some pictures from the season...

Jackson kept putting his hand in his pocket this game. We had to get him some new pants to stop that... luckily I found some cheap ones at a garage sale.

Alligator ready! (That's what they call getting ready for the ball to come... their hands become an alligator mouth)

Jackson's team.

Colie wanted Grandma. He does this most of the time he sees her.

He's happy she's holding him :)

Jordan's been getting hurt a ton lately. This chin bruise was from banging his chin on the counter when playing around on a stool. His legs are all scratched up from falling on the way home from taking Jack to school several times.

Kenzie pulled her chair over to the track and sat in it with her back to us and Jack's game. I guess she didn't want to watch him :)

Silly girl.

Jack batting.

After Jackson's last game we went to McDonalds to have his t-ball party. We weren't there very long because Jackson had a birthday party to go to right after. Jack called it his "big day" since he had so many things to do :)

Another Tooth

Jackson lost his 3rd tooth last week. It had been really loose, and while playing on the couch he knocked it out with his knee. He was disappointed that the tooth fairy wasn't a day (or more) late this time so he could get an extra dollar for each day he was late :)

Sprinkler Park

We went to the sprinkler park last week when it was kind of warm and sunny. We have to take advantage of those days because they don't happen very long. In fact, after Jordan told me he was wearing shorts one day last week, Jackson told him that it was okay because it was 60 or 70 degrees that day :). That's about what the weather was when we went to the sprinkler park too. I thought it might be too cold, but a friend invited us and I thought it sounded fun so we went. The kids had a great time. They didn't get too wet. Kenzie actually sat by me most of the time, but she still had watching Jordan play and eating Coleman's Kix.

This was Jordan's favorite thing to do.

Coleman crawled over to the water once and splashed in a puddle for a little bit.

Then he came back and sat with me.

Jackson didn't come to the sprinkler park because he was in school. He was disappointed and wanted us to go back after picking him up.

Brothers.
