Puyallup Fair

We went to the Fair! It was the only day all us could go so we made it work even though we could stay until about 1:30. Kenzie and Jordan had to be back for soccer and tennis practice. It was such a fun day!

Kenzie loves the petting zoo!

Coleman likes it too!

These guys didn't want to pet any animals.

We found a horse named Cam and sent our Cam a picture of it :)

A horse named Jordan

And one named Jackson

We bought some lunch. Doug, Jordan, and Kenzie had tacos and Doug said they were so good. Coleman had mac and cheese and Jackson had a burger. I just ate an elephant ear a little later when we got snacks.

The kids each rode two rides. The rode this one together.

Then we had a few tickets left to play one game. We chose the ring toss because everyone (but me) could throw 2 rings. (I opted to not throw any so they could all throw two.)

Instead of getting a treat she wanted this little guy. She paid about half for it since it was more than the price of treats :)

Kent Summer 2024 Rubik's Cube Competition

Jordan participated in another Rubik's Cube Competition at Kent Commons. He did great and had a lot of fun! He ran into one of the people who played Jack in tennis at districts. The kids recognized Jordan's last name and talked to him about playing Jackson.

Jordan got a glow in the dark cube for car rides.

Kenzie found a huge spider in the basement!

Kenzie watered our bishop's wife's flowers for about a week. She was $120 for it! It was way more than she was expecting and she was super excited about it :)

Doug booked a tennis court for us to use sometimes before and during Coleman's and Kenzie's class. He also rented a ball machine for us to use.

I realized Coleman was not moving around a lot so I told him if he got 8000 steps he could have an extra hour of video games. He started running on the treadmill. He would do 3 miles a day, one mile each time.

Coleman's taking a guitar class through CVA this year, so we bought him a guitar. (If only I'd known Jackson was going to buy one, he could have just used Jack's old one.)

Jackson played the organ (a simply way of playing he said) for a couple weeks. He did a great job! He also played a musical number one of the weeks on the piano. He didn't know he was playing (the music director has asked him but said she had to check with the bishopric to make sure it would work. He was expecting her to contact him again, but she assumed he'd be ready to play unless he was told otherwise.) Luckily, he was at church early to play the prelude music, so he called me to bring his piano book. He played his song perfectly even though he had barely played it over the past several months.

Playing Sunday games with the family!

Cam, Kenzie, and Coleman. We had Cam sleep over one last time before her, Ash, and Konrad left on their year long travel around the world. We're going to miss her! And Ashlee and Konrad too :) Alli already had moved off to college at University of Arizona.

Swimming at Grandma's Pool

We also swam at Grandma's pool as much as we could! Grandma kept the pool at a lovely 90 degrees so it was always warm even if it wasn't really hot outside.

Wild Waves

We went to Wild Waves a lot in August!
Coleman and Ben! The Johnsons usually joined us too.

Kenzie had no friends around one time and rode the Brain Drain several times in a row through the single rider line.

Boys' Trip to Spokane

In August, Jackson and Jordan went with their friends to Spokane. They stayed in Logan's Grandma's basement. It had two bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a kitchen. They went to a lake and jumped off a cliff. They hiked, including some rock climbing. They also went disc golfing and shopping. They were there Monday-Saturday and had a great time!
The bunkbed room.  Jackson, Jordan, and most of the boys slept here. I think my boys both slept on the top bunks.

The queen bed room.

The living area (and Koper and Mason)

They hiked.

Mason and Koper bought a fish. They wanted to buy a hamster and let it run around the basement in a hamster wheel. Then they'd let it loose outside when it was time to go home. Or they wanted to buy a turtle and also put it out by a pond when they left. Logan told them they couldn't though.

Jackson bought a really nice used guitar.

Jordan sent me pictures of the food and asked for cooking advice. It sounded like he was big part of the cooking.

I told him he should probably not pour the grease down the drain so he sent me this.

Their taco meal turned out great! The other meal they cooked was spaghetti, and it also turned out great.

They got really close to empty...

But luckily they made it to the gas station!

Camp Helaman

Jackson and Jordan went to Camp Helaman the week after we got back from Hawaii. They had a lot of fun! Jackson was one of the youth leaders. I think a district leader, but I'm not sure. He made many new friends. Jordan was so excited to be in the same group as Bryce. They had a lot of fun hanging out! The only pictures I have are from my friends that sent them to me when they went to pick up their kids. They are only of Jordan and Bryce.
