March Photos

Doug and Jackson went to watch the Kraken play the Oilers! (Jack's top two favorite NHL teams)

I forgot to take picture on Valentine's Day. This is what Kenzie gave me. She made a football jersey for everyone with their favorite player on it. She's so fun! All the kids got candy from Doug and me. And Doug gave me 2 necklaces. But unfortunately, one of them fell down the drain only a couple days after I got it:(

It snowed! Just a little and it melted quickly, but it was still fun to see.

Doug made the game winning shot in his men's basketball game! It was so fun and exciting. I love watching him play :)

We've been playing lots of Catan!

Kenzie found a sandwich recipe online she wanted to try. We bought all the ingredients at Winco, and she and Doug tried it for lunch. They both thought it was great. It had turkey, avocado, pesto, everything but the bagel seasoning, lettuce, and tomato slices all on toasted bread.

Enjoying some time in the sun.

Kenzie feeding the ducks. There were some around, but when she climbed the fence they flew away. So she just left some food there for them.

A pretty sunset.

The big boys decided it would be fun to try to climb over the obstacle course. They had a hard time (because it was hard to get on top without help) but Kenzie was able to do it with Jackson boosting her up.

Coleman loves his morning smoothie!

We were waiting or the big boys to finish some interviews with the bishop after church.

We went to the park after Sunday dinner with the Crabtrees. We played tennis and at the playground.

Coleman playing church basketball. He's always unhappy with the amount of playing time he gets since he's young and there's so many kids on the team. But he's happy when he gets to play :)

Coleman at his Kent basketball game.

Playing the Farming Game.

Logan, Jordan, and Jackson
Kent basketball ended. Doug and I were both happy it was over. He didn't enjoy coaching (because it was too intense. He had to keep his players calm so they wouldn't get in fights.) and I didn't like watching people get so angry over a basketball game. Fans, coaches, and players were yelling and complaining way too much. It was definitely the worst season we've ever had of basketball. It was Jackson's last time playing. I'll miss watching him play! Maybe he'll play intramural basketball in college and we can go watch him sometime :)

Easter

We had great Easter!
We dyed eggs on Easter Eve.

That night we went to the Wilson's egg hunt. The kids all (including Jackson, but he didn't want to keep it on for the picture) put the buckets on their heads.

All the kids ready to hunt!

Trading candy! Coleman gave his away for free :)

Easter morning we woke to these cute bags outside our doors, put there by Kenzie. She left us treats inside them.

She slept with her hair like this to help it to be curly for Easter.

The kids and I went to church where we heard great talks and musical numbers about Christ. Then we came home and hunted for eggs and baskets.

Jordan was on a roll and found so many so quickly. I told him to make sure not to find them all before his siblings all had a chance to find some :)

Coleman found his basket!

Kenzie found hers!

Jordan found his!

Jackson found his basket too, but it was in the hallway next to the bathroom so I didn't have a picture of him grabbing it.

Doug looking for our basket! It was behind the grey blanket on the white shelf.

We went to my parents house and had our egg hunt there. Alli convinced everyone to go out in height order instead of age order this year. Her reasoning was that the taller people could see further and their legs are longer so they can get places quickly :) She went from being last to being third. In the end, the amount of eggs they each found was in the same order. Jordan found the most and then the number decreased until Cam, who had the least.

Jordan made me laugh when he went out. I think he wanted to prove Alli was right and quickly caught up to her to try to beat her to the eggs around her.

All of us (except Ash, who's taking the picture). We're so grateful for my parents for putting the egg hunt every year! And of course for the yummy dinner my mom makes!
