Drawing

Coleman had to draw a picture of a dam for school. He hates drawing, and most anything artsy, so he found a way to make it better. Tracing it off the computer:) It worked great!

Kenzie's Braces

Kenzie got her braces off on March 19th! She said it felt so weird to have them off. And after over 3 years of her having them, she looks so different with them off.

She drew some braces on her in the picture :)

She was excited to dance around the office. She chose the song Best Day of My Life.

Jordan got his braces off in August 2022. But somehow I missed blogging about it. So I'm adding it in here. Jackson blames it on him being the middle boy. I blame it on being behind in my blog and just missing the pictures when I was catching up. He was so happy to get them off!

Jordan Turns 16!

Jordan turned 16 this year!

We had his family party the Sunday before his birthday. He had a smores dessert for dessert. He wanted Babe Ruth bars or Dojo Delight, but I forgot to ask him before Sunday what he wanted and we didn't have all the ingredients so we went with his third choice.

He started his birthday off with opening presents!

He got money from both sets of grandparents.

He asked a few weeks before for the Art of Problem Solving precalculus book because he wanted more challenging math to do. So I gave it to him for his birthday :)

Rubik's Cube art.

We played his new Catan game.

And he drove to soccer practice on his own! He and Doug went earlier in the morning to get his license. He had already taken the tests. He just need to take the picture and pass the eye exam.

Then he had a soccer game that Doug and I watched. He made the Kentwood C team!

He played goalie for the first time this year.

He wanted Grandma Dance's enchiladas for dinner.

He made some more Rubik's Cube art.

And looked through his math book.

We played more Catan.

And had peanut butter balls for dessert! (We put the candles in brownies though since they could stand up better there.)

we're so glad he's in our family!

Gueme's Island

Kenzie and I went on a young women overnighter to Gueme's Island at the beginning of March. We had a lot of fun!

Paisley, Emily, Lorelei, Delaynie, Kenzie, Morgan

Heather and I were the two leaders that went and neither of us have much experience making fires, but we were able to get a good one going that kept us warm while we were there!

Back at Netflix

Doug decided he didn't really enjoy making games and working on his own. He called his old Netflix boss and asked to return to his old job. His boss said yes and that they hadn't filled his old job back (apparently this kind of thing happens often, where someone leaves, but comes back a few months later so his boss was expecting him to come back:)) He started working again on Feb 26 and has been enjoying it so far.
