Great Wolf Lodge

We went to Great Wolf Lodge Wednesday to Thursday this week. We had so much fun! It had been over 4 years since we last went. I was a little worried the kids wouldn't like it as much since they're older, but they all still loved it.
Coleman was the only one who wanted to do the quest.

He didn't finish all of it but is excited to do it again the next time we go:)

We got a kids' cabin which the kids were excited about. They all got their own beds!

Jordan slept on the sofa bed.

We brought our own breakfast.

Treats before going home!

Coleman got a smoothie.

Kenzie edited her brothers out of the picture...

We had so much fun and can't wait to go again!

Rubik's Cube Competition

Jordan competed in another Rubik's Cube competition. This one was in Tacoma, so not too far away. He did great and got a lot more personal bests!

Kenzie

Pretending to sleep

Her bed broke in December so she'd been sleeping on her mattress on the floor for awhile. Doug bought some boards to fix the bed and fixed the bed. She's happy to have a normal bed again:)

She was so excited to get a small part in the spring dance recital. She's going to be Monsieur D'Arque from Beauty and the Beast. He's the creepy guy who kidnaps Belle's dad. She made a sign to commemorate the occasion.

Bedtime Cuddles

Kenzie and Coleman like to come in and cuddle at night with Doug and me. Lately we've been watching the Australian Open. Kenzie doesn't usually stay as long, but Coleman will stay until we tell him to go to bed:)

Ice Hockey

We had about a week of really cold weather and the pond in our backyard froze. After seeing the bigger neighbor boys walk on it, Kenzie and Coleman decided they could too. They spent several hours over the course of 3 days playing on it.

First they walked on it

Then slid on it

Then looked at pictures on a phone

Then they played hockey. This is what they spent most of the time doing.

They added sticks and rocks around their rink so the ball wouldn't go all over.

Coleman

Coleman and I put together some of his engineering projects that he got for Christmas. He really likes doing the Mark Rober projects with one of his friends and I was hoping this much cheaper option would be just as fun, but it's not. He enjoyed the projects, but not quite as much.

Shopping with Kenzie

Kenzie and I went to Plato's Closet and South Center Mall so she could spend her Christmas money. She found a few Lulu Lemon things at Plato's Closet which made her very happy!
Riding the escalator like Buddy the Elf.

She got the bag she's holding for free from Lulu Lemon. She'd heard they'd let you buy one for 8 cents since it's the bag that you pay 8 cents for if you want a bag for your purchase (since they don't give you free bags anymore in Washington). She went to the checkout counter and asked if she could buy one and the nice lady let her have one for free.  Kenzie was so happy and thought she was the nicest lady ever.
