Father's Day

We had a fun Father's Day. Doug said it was like a birthday, so I guess that means we did good on his presents this year :)

Kenzie saw a craft in the Friend that she wanted to make for him.

It turned out so cute!

And she made him this adorable card.

Coleman got this Dad's Rootbeer at the orthodontist and was excited to give it to Doug :)

And we gave him a cool hose.

And a swim suit (that ended up too big so we had to exchange it for a smaller one)

And some Pokemon cards.

We had dinner at Ashlee's house and played games. And gave presets to my dad. Grandma and Grandpa Crabtree and the Schofields were there too.

Coleman's Birthday

Coleman had a fantastic birthday! He had some requests for us. He wanted us to decorate crazily. He wanted us to use all the streamers we had (which was a lot since I just bought a new pack of them off Amazon.) We didn't use them all, but we used a ton.
Jordan decorated outside of his door.

He also decorated the stairs. He did it before we were finished decorating downstairs so we had to crawl up the stairs to avoid knocking the streamers down.

The downstairs.

Doug even decorated the the stairs going to the basement.

Coleman played Skylanders in the morning.

Another request was that we make a scavenger hunt for him to find his presents. The first clue was on his letter we left on the table for him to find in the morning. It led if to his bedroom.

Then laundry room to find Pokemon cards.

Kenzie gave Colie a giant squishy. He named it Pickles.

Two of his presents showed up late but luckily I had bought him some Pirate Booty and his that instead.

More Pokemon

He got birthday cards from Grandma and Grandpa Dance and Aunt Lori.

One of his late presents showed up that morning. He was excited to open it.

It was a contraptions set. We have one, but he wanted another because many of the pieces broke.

I made him Applebees for lunch.

For the past 3 months Coleman has been hoping that quarantine would be over by his birthday so he could celebrate by doing something fun. Quarantine isn't really over, but things are open so we were able to go to the Family Fun Center to play miniature golf.

We didn't keep track of all our strokes, instead we just gave a point to whoever won the hole. If there was a tie, than no one would get any points.

Most holes no one got any points.  But in the end Jackson and I tied with 2 points each. He won Rock, Paper, Scissors, so he ended up winning the day :)

Coleman did the batting cages there too. It was tricky because the ball was coming in high enough for an adult to hit it. So he had a hard time reaching it.

He also got to play the ball grabber. He could play until he won.

He was happy to get a yellow and orange ball.

The boys played Germs.io together.

We had his family party that night. We had Little Caesars for dinner. Then he opened presents.

He got lots of fun things and yummy treats!

He wanted powdered donuts for his treat.

Happy Birthday!

After donuts Jordan and Grandpa played chess. We also had played Scum before desserts and at some point in the night Coleman did some of the experiments from his new science kits.

That night we finally watched the 3rd Star Wars. Cam slept over and watched it with us too.

We watched it soooooooooo happily!!!!!!! (Coleman added this comment :))

Quarantine Week 12

Kenzie bought a time-turner necklace and now she looks even more like Hermione.

The kids played hide and seek at the park we stop at on our bike rides sometimes.

Our friends were bunny sitting one afternoon. We went over and the kids were excited to hold the bunny. After we went with our friends on a long bike ride, I think it was about 4 miles. We rode from their house to the Soos Creek Trail. To get to the trail from the street we had to go down a steep hill. We had to walk down it and bikes felt like they were going to pull us down. Once we got down the hill the ride was much better. And surprisingly, going up the big hill was better and seemed faster than going down  the hill.

These four love playing Pokemon!

Quarantine Week 11

We are officially in phase 1.5 here! I guess we weren't quite ready for phase 2 :) Now we can eat in restaurants and get our hair and nails done. I think we can even hang out in groups of 5 outside now! More stores are open now too. Hopefully everything will stay open. It's hard to imagine life returning to normal anytime soon.
Coleman got this puzzle for Christmas and had it set up in his room. He hadn't finished it though because he said it was too hard. I told him he should bring it downstairs and we could do it together (he did't have much done so it wasn't a big deal to bring it down :)) The top half of the puzzle is pretty easy but the bottom half is more difficult. It has a lot of swirly colors.

One morning Kenzie made planets to hang from her ceiling. She's been into space lately and also made a rocket ship out of popsicle sticks.

We finished the puzzle! He said it's his favorite puzzle. While we were doing it he was convinced we were missing pieces, but there were all there:)

Kenzie made a chair out of popsicle sticks and a book for her monkey.

Kenzie, Phoenix, Jordan, Atlas, Coleman, Emma, Eden, Levin
We went on a bike ride to Clark Lake Park with some friends. It was nice to ride somewhere out of our neighborhood :) We also bikde to our friends, the Reno's, house the day before.

Kenzie had an orthodontist appointment and we wore masks for the first time. They gave them to us when we got there.

Cam has been spending the weekend with us. It's so fun to have her here! Also, Coleman took apart his puzzle and did it again, mostly by himself. He kept working on it while I was doing things like making dinner, otherwise I would have helped him :)

Doug got a haircut yesterday! He's happy to have short hair again!

We went to dinner at our friends', the Schofields, house last night. These girls were happy to pet Artex for a long time. They didn't even mind his fur getting all over them :) On the way home we stopped at Cam's house because she had forgot her blanket (the Scholfields only live a few minutes from her house.) She snuck in, grabbed her blanket, and left. She's pretty sure no one noticed she was even there. haha
