Basketball Games

The kids have started basketball. Our Saturdays are pretty crazy because the kids games overlap a lot, and they play at the same time in different locations. So far none of them have won any games. But there are still a lot of games left:)
Coleman is much involved this year. He goes for the ball and has even taken a couple shots.

Kenzie's playing hard as always. In her second game they played a really hard team, and Kenzie had her team's only basket!

Mop Vacuum

I got a new mop vacuum. It mops while it vacuums! It's pretty amazing. I vacuumed and mopped all the hard floors in my house in under an hour!

Our kitchen floor was dirty!

Mr. Pencil

Mackenzie made a pencil out of box. She added a face and said it's not longer a pencil; it's Mr. Pencil. She says this is what she'll be for Halloween next year (hopefully we'll go to a lot of Halloween events, because she has a long list of costumes she's going to wear this year :))

Basketball

The kids started basketball for Covington last week. I intended to take pictures of everyone's first practice, but forgot. So I only have some of Coleman's.
He really didn't want to play this year, (he did when we signed him up, but changed his mind) but he is actually loving it. He's all smiles at practice.

Jackson is finishing up his school basketball season. Next week are his last games.

He got a little more playing time than normal at his game on Tuesday, which was excited for us fans:)

Right after this picture he stole the ball from this kid.

Coleman's friend Xander is on his team. The coach came over and told him to look up when dribbling and instead of just looking straight ahead he actually looked up toward the ceiling. I was too slow getting a picture of it though, so he's just looking straight ahead in this picture. It was really funny though.

Windstorm

Last Saturday night we had a big windstorm. A lot of western Washington lost power for a day or two. We never lost it (we generally don't since we have underground power lines.)
But our basketball hoop did fall down.

And so did our neighbor's fence.

Beginning of January Happenings

Coleman has a love hate relationship with his new dominoes. He loves playing with them, but gets so frustrated when he accidentally knocks them down.

He also got a magic set for Christmas. We spend some of afternoon learning most of the tricks and then he did a show for Doug after dinner.

Jordan must have got too many presents, because he forgot this engineering kit was his. He was really excited when I reminded him :)

The Winters' came over and Kenzie and Aubree kept busy creating in the kitchen. They made chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter frosting. They were yummy!

Mackenzie the horse giving Coleman rides.

Jordan sprained his pinky while playing basketball at the church gym on Monday. The one left is swollen and bruised looking. He said he never realized how much he used his pinky. It's feeling much better now though!

New Years Day

We spent New Years Day at my parents' house again. We mostly just hung out. We did some puzzles (we did 6 1000 piece puzzles during the time Michelle was here!) Some of us went to Cafe Rio for dinner. The adults went to Puerto Vallarta for dinner. It was our last day with the Kenyons :(

Kenzie and Nati made up a dance to Stitches.

Such cute girls! Kenzie is always so sad when Nati goes home.

We loved, loved, loved spending so much time with family!
