Picture Dump

Kenzie licking the brownie batter bowl clean at Grandma's house.

Doug bought new headphones so we don't distract him when he plays in Arms tournaments...

Kenzie took a few pictures.

She wants to print this one and hang it in her room.

One day, the big boys were fighting a ton and I was frustrated with their behavior. Coleman grabbed a piece of paper and a pencil and sat on the stairs for awhile. When he was done he gave me this letter. It says "mommy I love you" He is such a sweet boy!

The kids and I went to Safeco Field on Saturday to listen to President Nelson! His wife and President Eyring also spoke. It was a great experience!

On Sunday we went to our friends' (the Schofields) house on Sunday for Elijah's birthday. They got a new puppy the week before and Kenzie fell in love with him.

She took this picture and wants to hang it in her room too:)

First Soccer Games

The kids started their games a few weeks ago.
Jackson's games are on Friday nights. He only has 12 kids on his team, and one has been out of town the whole time. The first week they played with 11, and last week they played with 9. Neither weeks they had any subs. They were all so tired by the end. They lost both games. The last one they got crushed 0-9. The other team has been playing together for awhile and they had 5 subs. So when our kids were too exhausted after running hard for the entire game, the other team was feeling very refreshed :) But Jackson still says it's better to have no subs than to have 14, which is what would have happened had they not split into two teams.

Coleman's coach showed the kids their positions using their water bottles. Coleman is much more involved this year. He goes after the ball and kicks it. It's very exciting to watch :) His team has also lost both games they've played and have yet to score a goal. But they have a lot of fun!

Kenzie is playing hard as always. They tied the first week and lost last week. They have been good games and the team is playing really well together. I love watching them spread out and pass like they're supposed to.

There's a new playground and Covington Fields. The kids love playing their during their siblings' games. Coleman is riding on the zip line.

Jordan is doing great this year too. His team has won 2 and lost 1 (I think. I don't remember for sure if they won both their games in the double header, but I think they did:))

Coleman played goalie on his last game. He did great, stopping a lot of balls and not letting one past him.

So many girls on Kenzie's team!

First Day of School

It was around 80 degrees the week we started school so we spent a lot of time at my parents' pool.

We started school work Sept. 5.

And then went to swim :)

The kids loved the hot tub. The pool was a little colder than normal, so they loved being able to warm up.

Jackson's stylish hair :)

Doug came with us when we went back to swim on Thursday.

The Crabtrees came over some of the time too.

Labor Day Fun

Our Labor Day was filled with fun!
Kenzie and I hit up Value Village. They don't do 50% off everything anymore, but they had 50% off some things. We still got some great deals.

She got a little backpack.

We went on a Family bike ride along the Clark Lake trail.

Doug played in his first Arms tournament.

Then we went to the Mariners' game with my parents. We got to sit right behind them, which was extra fun!

Jackson, Coleman, Doug, with Grandpa in the background.

The kids were trying to sneak peanut shells on grandpa's hat and shoulders.

Coleman was trying to get the center fielder, Dee Gordon, to throw him a ball.

Dee didn't throw him a ball, but he did throw one to another kids who then gave it to Coleman because he had already caught another one. Such a nice kid!

Grandpa caught a ball and gave it to Kenzie!

Soccer Begins

We started soccer this week! The kids are happy to be back on the field.
Jackson's team. He was almost on a team of 25 kids, but luckily they split it and he has 12 instead.

Mackenzie's team. They have 15 girls on their team so they're not going to get much playing time. I tried to get them to split the team, but it didn't happen. But she's happy to be with her coach and friends :)

Jordan's team. His team is normal sized, maybe a little big but not too bad :)

Coleman's team. It's good sized. But his team almost had 3 double headers and three weeks without games. I notified the sports director and he said they hadn't realized they did that, so now he only has one double header and one week without games.

We're excited for a fun season!
