Hawaii Day 21 - Hukilau and Golf

Yesterday went to Hukilau for most of the day. We really love this beach. I would love it more if it had bathrooms!
We love reading on the beach!

It rained pretty hard for awhile.

Most of the family ran into the water. A few sought shelter under the trees.

These three went on a walk.

Doug walked along the beach and found this bottle with shells all over it. Some creatures seemed to be hatching out of them. They were putting out little legs or tentacles and wiggling them around. We aren't sure what they were.

This was where the kids ran for shelter when it was raining.

They brought  chairs and towels and made it a home. These kids except Coleman and Kenzie stayed and played in it for awhile after all the parents besides Konrad left. Konrad sat in the car until they were ready to go home.
Doug, Jackson, Richard, Konrad, and Grandpa golfed at Kahuku in the morning before they met us at Hukilau.

Hawaii Day 20 - Matsumotos, Sunset Beach

We went to Matsumotos in the morning again. Then we tried two different beaches in Haleiwa, but they both had too much coral and no waves so we decided to go to Sunset instead.
Kenzie and Cam waiting in line for shave ice. The line was so short again. The Kenyons had got there 20-30 minutes before us and Nati told me they didn't have to wait in any line.

The Kenyons and Jackson stopped at the Hale'iwa sign for pictures.

It was a great day at the beach. The weather was overcast, sunny, and a little rainy. They waves were just right (unless you wanted to boogie board, then they weren't really big enough:))

Kimber, Shell, my mom, and I went to Pounders for dessert. It was so yummy!

We watched some TV tonight. The kids have been watching Girl Meets World a lot. I enjoy it too :)

Hawaii Day 19 - Waikiki

Yesterday we had a long, fun day at Waikiki. We played at the beach, shopped at the ABC stores several times, and ate dinner at the Cheesecake Factory.
One thing I love about Waikiki is that we can sit on nice, clean grass and still see the kids. I also love that the water is shallow enough that the kids can just play and we don't have to worry about them in the water.

After we started getting our stuff spread out these two organized it all. They found a spot for the shoes, folded clothes and towels, and put all the bag next to a tree.

The water was so shallow when we got there that these boys could walk all the way out to the wall.

All the kids, except Cam and Kimber, walked across the wall.

Then they started jumping in.

Cam playing in the shallow water.

A few families gave us a bunch of floaties. We got 3 or 4 of these that Jordan is laying on, and a tube, and several sand mats.

Cute matching girls.

They decided to dance by the sidewalk in hopes that people would leave money in the bucket they set out.:) They didn't get any money.

These four went golfing in the afternoon. They had a lot of fun, and Jackson was happy to be able to drive the golf cart a few times.

The rest of us went to The Cheesecake Factory! It was so yummy! And it wasn't so expensive because most of us shared plates.

We didn't get the dessert at The Cheesecake Factory for the kids (only Kimber and I got some) so we took them to McDonalds to get ice cream only to find out they were out of ice cream! The kids all got slushies instead (except Coleman who just had yogurt at home.)

Richard carried Camryn back to the car. Cam was a little nervous and so she held on very tightly to his head.

It was such a fun day! Time keeps flying by way too fast!
