Soccer

The kids finished soccer at the end of April. These pictures are from throughout the season though. We had a fun and busy couple months!
One week Kenzie was one of only a couple teams to play because it down poured!

Kenzie played goalie for the first time since she was probably in kindergarten. Her coach put her there after she scored a goal. She was happy the game ended about a minute or 2 after she became goalie.

Jordan scored his first goal ever this season. He had many attempts this season and one finally went in. We were all very excited!

Jackson

Jackson played goalie several times this year. He loved it and did a great job!

Coleman

Coleman had a lot of fun playing again. His last game he went for the ball a lot more and almost had a an off sides goal :) It wouldn't have counted if it went in, but it was still fun that he almost kicked the ball in the goal. His team lost all of their games.

Kenzie and Coach Eric. I think Kenzie's team lost 1, tied 1, and won the rest.

Jordan's last 2 games (they had a double header) almost got cancelled/rescheduled because of the rain but they decided to play.

Jackson was brought in to play in the second game of the double header. They were playing a hard team, and they were all tired because they didn't have any subs. Their team lost, but Jackson did score a goal :)

Coach Josh and Jordan. Jordan's team won about half their games and lost about half of them. They really learned to play better together by the end of the season.

Playing goalie

Doug. I'm sure he wasn't really angry :)

Coleman and Grandpa Riding

Grandma Riding

Jackson's team won all their games, I think. They may have tied one.

Science Center

We went to the Science Center to see a members only preview for an ocean movie.

Jack made a 1+1=2 design out of Legos.

Jordan made a paper airplane and tested it in the wind tube.

Kenzie's house and lake.

Zoo Day

We went to the zoo with some friends. It was a perfect day for the zoo. You can't go wrong with warmth, sunshine, and friends :)

Feeding the birds

This is Kenzie's favorite part of the zoo.

Kenzie, Jordan, Judah, Asher

and Coleman

Creative Mackenzie

I love this one. The puppies are all fighting or whining, but the mom just things they're all a nice family :)

I'm the sadist one Why are you laughing at me?

The other side:
Everyone (including a flying Jesus:)) is laughing at her fat hair. For a week or so she really wanted to get her hair thinned because she thought it was too fat if we didn't straighten it.

She also really wants overalls. She made some paper ones to help get the point across.

Swim Lessons

Coleman started swim lessons again to prepare for summer. He's doing Kinderswimmer again.  He's the only one in his class, which means he gets lots of practice! He loves the lessons!

Doug's Birthday

Doug turned 35 years old this year! He kept saying he is now midlife. I guess he only plans to live until he's about 70. Hopefully he's wrong and lives until he's at least 100.
He took the day off work so we could play all day. Although the kids had piano and orchestra and dance so we couldn't do too much.

Kenzie wrapped a few surprises for him.

Some change! She also wrapped up pencil for him.

We wrote him a note to tell him he had a couple more presents downstairs.

It was a new bike!

A new helmet

Of course he wanted to play his Switch as a family, especially Arms, his favorite game.

Then we went on a family bike ride around the neighborhood. Once we get a bike rack we'll be able to ride other places :)

He had Babe Ruth Bars for his treat, but they are too hard to put candles in so we just stuck one in a cookie. I wanted to give him 35 candles, but he only wanted 1.
It was fun celebrating him!
