Mackenzie Turns 7!

Mackenzie was so excited for her birthday!
Doug took the day off so she opened presents in the morning.

She was so excited to get a Lucky costumes.

She's so cute in it!

All of her presents: Pokemon shirt, Totoro movie, Totoro stuffed animal, bird cage, Billie B. Brown books, Hey Jack books, a Mermaid book, a watch, and soccer socks.

She had to give the boys hugs to say thanks.

Next we went to the Puyallup Fair.
Milking the cow.

This gigantic cow is as old as Jordan.

We found 2 quarters in my backpack so the kids could get a foot massage.

There were pigs in the petting zoo this year! So cute!

Mackenzie has a toy horse that looks like this one. She named hers Jake and was excited to see Jake at the Fair :)

We found a horse named Doug.

Throwing a lasso.

Taking the bark off a branch.

Sawing

Drilling

I love her concentration!

I made the kids ride Tilt a Whirl with me. Actually I told them they didn't all have to ride it with me since there were other adults that could stand with them, but they all wanted to. And I think they all said it was their favorite ride. Not surprising, since it is such a fun ride!

Kenzie lost another tooth! The Tooth Fairy knew it was her birthday and gave her $5!

They each got to pick 3 rides. For their last one they rode the haunted house together.

I love Jack's expression in this one.

Since it was her birthday, and she's been begging me for horseback riding lessons, we let her ride on a pony. We didn't let the other kids, because it was way too expensive for them to all do it :)

She was so happy and loved it so much!

My mom came with us! She hadn't been to the fair in a very long time. I think she said since I was 17.

We saw the collections and crafts part of the fair this year. There was a Chitty Chitty Bang Bang display.

Too bad we couldn't actually sit in the car!

Jordan was fascinated trying to figure out how this thing worked.

Kenzie was in love!

She had dance that night and then we watched Totoro.

Then we had cupcakes.

She helped design her cake into a dump truck shape.

She ended the night by reading a Billie B. Brown book.

We read together like we do most nights:)

Here's some things about Kenzie:
She loves soccer!
She loves dancing.
She loves winning.
She likes to organize her room (when she feels like it :))
She really wants a puppy.
She doesn't like to work.
She loves playing the piano.
She loves treats.
She loves to read.
She loves playing with her brothers.
She's usually sad when I'm not home to put her to bed.
She loves fruits and vegetables, but doesn't love meat as much.
She loves watching movies.
She loves packing for vacation.
She doesn't like asking other people for things when I'm around.
She always wants to sleep at Ashlee's house or my parents' house.
She doesn't like sitting still or being quiet, unless she's watching a movie of course :)
She likes to make pictures for people, especially if she makes them sad.
She's fun.
She's cute.
We love her so much and are so happy she's ours.

Gymnastics

The kids started gymnastics. It's a homeschool class, which is nice because it's during the day and my kids are getting to know more homeschool kids better. They all love it!

Alli and Cam Sleep Over

Ashlee and Konrad went to Utah for a weekend so we had Cam and Alli over. It's always so fun having them here!
Alli loves sewing!

We watched Kenzie play soccer in the rain. She's number 5.

I also took Alli to her soccer game. It's been awhile since I've watched her play so it was fun to be able to again.

Cam fell asleep on the way to Jackson's game. She slept on Doug through most of the game. When she woke up she just laid there pretending she was still asleep because she was so tired.

Jackson played against a team with some really tall players. They said the kids here is about 6 ft tall.

These 3 love Babe Ruth bars. Doug was having a huge piece!

Homeschool

We started homeschool the second week of September.

Coleman loves sewing!

Jordan likes to be Harry Potter.

We're doing a co-op with some friends at my house once a week. We are doing science and art together. We split the kids into 2 groups, based on age.  I taught the science and they learned how to be weather watchers. Then they drew a picture of what the weather was like that day. I thought it was funny how the other kids in the Coleman's group, who were all girls that day, added so much more detail and color to their pictures than Coleman did. In the older group the girls did the same thing, while the boys didn't add as much color and details to their pictures.

The older kids.

Kenzie's Return

The boys (and Doug and I of course) missed Kenzie so much. They were so excited to see her the morning after she got home (she got home late, so they were already sleeping.) Jordan ran to her and gave her a big hug. Then he picked her up and spun her around. Jackson picked her up (or she climbed up him, she thinks she's part monkey :)) and Coleman said "I missed you!"

Kenzie's Trip

Kenzie had so much fun on her first vacation away from us. We missed her like crazy and it's was weird to just have the boys here with me. They swam a ton and just had so much fun playing. She loved having girls to play with all day:) She also loved all the treats she had. One day when Jackson was talking to her on the phone she said that she ate Oreos for breakfast, along with a donut I think. Thanks Grandma ang Grandpa for taking her with you! And thanks Kenyons for letting her come :)
Mermaids! Kenzie and Alli. Nati and Kenna were at school that day.
