Dance Recital

Mackenzie had her big dance recital on June 12th. She was so excited for it and loved performing! 

The night before we had a long rehearsal. It was 3 and a half hours. I sat with the Pearls during the whole thing, most of the time by myself. It was pretty tricky to keep them quiet and sitting still when I wasn't sitting close to most of them. The little girl next to Kenzie ended up falling asleep in her chair for the last half hour or so. They were tired kids.

Kenzie is in the middle touching the sequin top of her costume. This was during the practicing of the finale. I didn't get any pictures of her doing her actual dance because they only did the dance once at the rehearsal and I wanted to video it instead.

She couldn't see us during her dance or the finale until they turned the lights on. When she found us she was so excited. She's in the middle front with her hands by her face.

Jack and Nati both wanted to come with me to the evening show. I thought they would be bored but they both loved it. (I thought I might be bored by the 3rd time watching the entire show but I actually enjoyed it more each time I saw it) Nati was pretty tired by the end of it though. They saw that we could buy flowers from the concessions stand and wanted to get one for Kenzie.

They had biographies for all the dancers hanging up on the walls.

Cousin Fun

Michelle's girls came here for almost 2 weeks while Michelle was at Girls' Camp. We LOVED having them here! Nati stayed with us the whole time, other than a few nights at Grandma Kenyon's house and one night at my parents' house. Kenna slept at Ashlee's house most of the time and spent the days with us while Ash's girls were in school. We had so much playing with them!

Then they tried it with their foreheads, noses, and feet.

The were both excited to wear their matching outfits Ashlee bought them for their birthdays last year.  They also wore matching shoes. They each wore one of the pairs.

The Crabtrees moved into their new house on the lake. We went over one day and swam and played. The kids loves swimming and kayaking.

Colie made an obstacle course. Everyone else was upstairs and he came down to play. When he came back up he wanted to show me the obstacle course he made. He was so cute showing me how to do it. After we ran it a couple times he would switch it up and show us the new way to do it.
