Jordan turned 7 and I can't believe it. He's a sweet, loving boy. He is both my most focused child and most easily distracted. He focuses when he's really what he's doing and easily distracted the rest of the time. He loves giving hugs. He loves building things, whether it's with Legos, Knex, or paper when he's doing origami. He hates being teased. He doesn't mind playing by himself. He loves trying to do things when he hears someone else say it's a hard thing to do.We love this boy so much!
We had his family birthday party the Sunday before his birthday. He got a lot of fun presents!
He wanted cake batter fudge for his treat. He doesn't like cake. I think next year we might try some Dairy Queen Ice Cream cake since they don't have any cake in them. That's what Michelle always wanted for her birthday.
Kenzie took some pictures of the card Alli made Jordan.
Cute Coleman.
Jordan's actual birthday:
He wanted to open his presents first thing in the morning. Luckily Doug worked from homes so this could be possible.
I love the look of pure happiness on his face.
Kenzie's present was too big to wrap with wrapping paper so we used a sheet.
He was excited and surprised to get some Legos.
He wanted donuts for breakfast.
He spent as much time as he could playing Legos. He was so excited that it came with instructions to build many different things.
Then we headed to the "new Chuck E. Cheese." (It's really the old once since it's the only one around here that's been around since I was young.)
She was so excited to ride the clock.
Some of our friends met us there. Sean, Mackenzie, and Jordan with Chuck E.
Kenzie, Sean, and Coleman.
Next we went to Cold Stone. Some of our friends met us there. Coleman, Jordan Cole, Jackson, Kenzie, Alex, Sean, Mason.
Silly kids.
Jordan wanted a giant flame in his donut.
I'm glad I captured his angry face :) I think Kenzie may have been blowing towards his candles.
We let Jordan stay up a half hour later with us doing whatever he wanted. He wanted to start making a hat on his new knitting loom.
The next day we went bowling with the Crabtrees. Jordan chose to do this rather than have a birthday party.
Jordan and Doug.
Coleman.
Mackenzie.
Jordan and Sam.
Doug helping Coleman, trying to make his ball roll faster. Sam is bowling in the other lane. She wanted to try it without bumpers so she joined the adults.
Kenzie and Kimber.
Doug, Alli, Ashlee.
Jackson.
We came out from the bowling alley and saw that one of out tires was flat. I was happy to watch Doug change it. Now I kind of feel like I could maybe change it if I needed. Or at least know how to get all the parts I need if some nice person helped me if I got a flat tire.
While we were waiting Mackenzie found an unopened package of binkies in the car and put one in her mouth.
And then gave one to Coleman. They were both so happy to have one for a little while.:)
