I took the kids to a thrift store one day and they all thought they I needed to buy them something there. Jordan found a helicopter that he could build and paint. Doug helped him build it and the Jordan painted it.

Science Center

We went to the Science Center a few weeks ago. 

We saw a 3D movie about lemurs.

We ate lunch at the big water fountain near the science center.  We stayed out there for a couple hours and the kids just played and played.

After seeing some old boys take their shirts off to play frisbee around the fountain Jackson and Jordan wanted their shirts off. They were so giggly about the whole thing :)

Jackson and one of their friends ran up to touch the fountain when the water wasn't shooting up. Jack was a little nervous because you never know when the water is going to start again. He made it back without getting sprayed.

Coleman's favorite thing about our field trips is that he often gets to eat Pirate Booty.

I went garage saling with some friends one Saturday. I bought Kenzie a 2 wheeler bike for $8. She practiced riding it the next day for about 15 minutes before it started to downpour. We went a couple days later to the skate board park and she kept trying to figure out how to ride it. By the time we went  home she was a pro!

I also bought Kenzie a booster. She's so excited to be out of her carseat.

Fox Hollow Farm

We went to Fox Hollow Farm for a friend's birthday. We'd been there before, but only on a freezing cold winter day. They've added a lot of things to do since we went before. The kids loved it and were sad that it closed after we'd been there for only 4 hours.

They got to pet some goats,

ride trikes,

throw rocks in the creek,

and climb on the logs.

There were 3 or 4 cute play houses. The kids loved playing in them. There was some food in them and slides coming out of the second story.

Their friend brought some yummy very blue and green cupcakes. Kenzie just wanted the frosting.

There were also a few bouncy houses.

We had such a fun day!

Lake Meridian

We met some friends at Lake Meridian for an afternoon of swimming and playing in the sand.

Colie just played in the sand the whole time. He may have got his feet wet a little bit.

One of the boys caught a fish with his bare hands. His brother brought him a cup to put it in.

A boy from Jackson's baseball team showed up too (you can't really see him in this picture... Jackson is right in front of him.) He's homeschooled too, which we didn't know. They had a lot of fun playing together.

The boys wrestled in the grass. They don't really ever wrestle so it was kind of weird for them to do it there.
