Zoo

We went to the zoo with friends during their 2nd winter break. We had to bundle up, but it was  mostly sunny, and not too cold as long as the wind wasn't blowing. We had a fun day!
Jordan, Coleman, Kenzie, Jackson watching the artic foxes.

Coleman was crying because I wanted take his picture before I helped him off the bench he was standing on.

He just wanted to sit down for the picture.

He was kind of grumpy that day.

But still cute.

The kids colored.

Jordan learned about conservation.

We had to take a picture of them in the shark's mouth.

Jackson touched a sting ray. My camera was in  weird setting when he was actually touching it so I could only get a picture after.

This tiger was pacing right by the window and kept growling.

He went right up to my friend's 2 year old and roared right in his face. The 2 year old jumped a little but didn't even cry. He's pretty tough :)

Then the tiger stretched up on the pole. It was fun to see the tiger so active. And we were all hoping the glass really was strong enough to keep him in :)

The last thing we did was play at the play area.

Jackson

Coleman cried for the last 20 minutes or so. He wanted me to carry him, but I had the stroller to push. Jackson came up to me and asked me to carry Coleman and he volunteered to push the stroller. Kenzie wanted ride so he pushed her all the way to the car.

An Assortment of Pictures

I think this picture was courtesy of Kenzie.

The boys playing Blokus.

Kenzie took a nap on the stairs.

We were having a game day and almost everyone picked a game to play. Kenzie chose Headbands.

Coleman eating a Gogurt.

I bought the kids some training rollerskates. Even Colie can use them.

Snow

On the Saturday night we were watching Camryn we went to my parents' house for dinner because my cousin was in town. Camryn was super excited to see her sisters. While we were there it started snowing. Then it kept snowing until we got home. The roads were kind of slippery and we saw a car in the ditch, a car hit the curb and another one slide around a lot. We were happy to make it home safely. The next day we woke up to a couple inches of snow. The big boys were so excited to go play in it.

Coleman and Kenzie liked watching from her room. They could see Doug and the boys sledding down the hill next to our house.

The next several pictures are from Kenzie.... She love taking pictures :)
I think Doug's telling the boys how to make snow angels.

Now they're making snow angels.

Coleman loves doing the dishes. After dinner sometimes he demands to do them. He's been getting better at scrubbing them with the scrub brush.

Jackson (I think)

the snowman they built

Jack sledding.

Jordan.

Coleman decided he wanted to go out and play too.

Once outside he called for Doug to come get him.

Camryn

Ashlee and Konrad went to St. Thomas because Konrad had a big work conference there. They left Camryn with us (well they really left her with a friend since they left the day before we went to Great Wolf Lodge, but we picked her up when we got back.) We loved having a baby to play with and take care for the week. We also had Kimber, Sam, and Alli for 3 days, but I don't have pictures of them. We loved having them here though. We ate scones for dinner, had a Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs marathon, and did lots of playing. Jackson was excited that his cousins wanted to play the Wii with him because it meant he got to play it more than normal :)
Kenzie was a great helper with Cam.

Kenz really wanted to be in the pictures with Camryn.

She has pigtails. It was fun to do baby hair again. :)

We treated her like a Dance this week and she got to wear pajamas almost everyday :)

Great Wolf Lodge

We went to Great Wolf Lodge at the beginning of February. The kids and I had a great time. Doug ended up getting sick, so we had to leave earlier then we wanted to. All the pictures are from the second day when the kids and I went to the water park and Doug stayed in the room and slept. We only were able to swim an hour or two. We bought the kids magic wands so after swimming and getting dressed we walked around and they used their wands everywhere they could until it was time to check out and leave.

The Kids

Mackenzie loves painting her toenails and fingernails. She always lays out a paper towel or toilet paper before she starts and is usually pretty good about not making a mess.

This day however I think she got up before the paint was wet and got a little nail polish on the floor and counter in my bathroom. I didn't really mind. I just think it's cute she loves to paint them.

One morning I was upstairs in my room while Kenzie and Colie were finishing up breakfast. Kenzie came up and told me Coleman made a mess with the Cheerios and was kicking them around. I figured she just meant the Cheerios in his bowl, and I was feeling extra lazy, so I didn't go check right away. Then I thought I heard them jumping on them and then I thought I heard Coleman sprinklering them. (He likes to throw things in the air and yell "sprinkler!") Then I heard them dumping more. I snuck downstairs to get a video of them. And this is what I saw:
Well, Kenzie and Coleman were down there too, but by the time I took this picture I had sent them away to stop the Cheerios smashing. They made quite the mess!

Coleman loves peanut butter crackers for lunch! And he loves his new monster jammies that don't have holes in the toes like most of his other feety jammies.

Jordan practicing dribbling while we waited for Jackson to get his basketball pictures taken.
