Kenzie Turns 4!

Mackenzie was so excited for her birthday!

 4!

She was so excited about all of her presents and was very animated during the whole present opening process.

She was so excited to get her own bike.

 She loves it!

Coleman playing with her new doll swing that can also change into a high chair that she got from Jordan..

She got my little ponies from Jackson.

There was a huge, bright rainbow.

We had her family party that night after church. Grandmas and Grandpas Riding and Crabtree, and the Crabtree family were there.

She was so excited for her cupcakes.

She had a such a fun birthday! We are so happy she is in our family and love her so much! Here's some things about our Kenzie Girl:

She shows her emotions a lot. We definitely know when she's happy, sad, or mad :)
She can go from being happy to sad very easily. But she can also go from being sad to happy quickly too.
She loves my little ponies, Dora, babies, and princess stuff
She likes to sing silly version of the puppy song Doug made up at bed time.
She likes being silly.
She loves being praised.
She also likes to wear pretty things. When we were talking about what she wants to be for Halloween she said she wants to be something that is very pretty (Princess Dora) she often tells me that all the girls will like her clothes.
She loves reading books.
She can read simply words by herself.
She hates cleaning up.
She loves to do things I ask her brothers to do. (like if I ask them to go get me something she'll jump up and get it... she may partly do it because she likes to make them mad...)
She likes to surprise me. She often tells me "Look until I say look" meaning she doesn't want me to look until she tells me to :)
She loves going places. Every day she asks me where we're going and gets so sad if we're not going anywhere.
She loves playing on the computer, watching TV, playing the Wii with her brothers, and playing on the Kindle. She would do all those things all day if she could.
She doesn't really like to be alone very much.
She loves riding her bike.
She loves eating snacks.
She loves swimming.
She get shy when people she doesn't know talk to her.
She often ignores people when she doesn't want to talk to them or do what they say.
She's super cute.
We love her.

Soccer and the Fair

Jackson playing soccer. He loves it!

Jordan being goalie. He loves soccer because there is a goalie in soccer.

Kenzie wanted to go the Fair for her family birthday activity. We were already planning on going so it worked out perfectly :)

We saw the animals:

Learned how people used to do things...
 Like drill

 And make flour

They also rode some peddle tractors around a little track, but Doug was off looking for donuts and I had left the camera in the stroller which he took with him. The kids loved it though :) And then we ate donuts and headed home.

New Shoes, Homeschool Park Day, Birthday Treat

I found this one morning when I got up. I'm pretty sure it was Kenzie who did it. She probably spilled and grabbed a towel to clean it up and then just used it as a place mat. I think it's cute :)

They boys had been needing new shoes. I usually only buy shoes at thift stores and garage sales but I hadn't been able to find any in their size for awhile so I just gave in and let them get shoes at the store. Neither of them could really tie shoes, but the only shoes they had in their size that were not tie shoes were more expensive than I wanted to pay. I told them they could get tie shoes but they would have to tie them. Jackson had been getting a lot better at it, but didn't have much confidence. But since getting the shoes he's done awesome at it. And Jordan picked it up really quickly too. Here's there new shoes:
I love how Colie and Kenzie smiled for the picture too.

These matching ones were the only cheap ones. :) But they both love them. Jackson found some other ones that he really loves and wants for Christmas.

We also got them some new socks because most of theirs have mysteriously disappeared. They wanted long socks this time.

Colie copied what they were doing.

We went to a homeschool day at the park. We played games and ate lunch.

Kenzie got this necklace from a fishing game.

Jordan ready to play Angry Birds.

Colie's turn! (he says that all the time :))

Mackenzie loves to make our piano play music and then dance to it.

Doug and I took Kenzie out to Cold Stone for a birthday treat. We left the other kids with Ashlee. Kenzie was pretty torn. She really wanted to come out with just Doug and me and eat ice cream, but she also really wanted to stay at Ashlee's house and play. At one point she even said Doug and I could just go on a date :)

But we had a great time :)

Doug looks super young to me in the picture. I think I have a picture of him looking at me like this when we were dating:)
