Christmas Day

Christmas was fabulous this year. As always. I have always loved Christmas and just keeps getting more and more fun as the kids get older and get more excited too.

It's seems like I always have a picture of the kids and me, when I'm really tired looking. :)

Here's the kids' piles... They were quite spoiled...

Jordan's

Kenzie's. I really love her kitchen. I still look at it and admire it :)

Coleman's

Family presents

We have the kids come down one at a time while we video them so we can record their excitement. We don't let them come down until we're up so they don't see anything. They go from youngest to oldest so Coleman was first.

He found his presents right away and was so excited to play basketball.

It Kenzie awhile to find her presents. She looked at everybody else's  before finally finding hers. I was surprised I thought the pink kitchen would have given it away :)

She found it! You can kind of see the excitement on her face. She was thrilled!

Coleman went over with her to check it out.

Jordan had to look around for a little bit for his too.

He was excited to get his Snap Circuit car. He thought he got 2 because he saw the box first then the car in front of his presents. He wasn't too disappointed that he only got one though :)

Jackson found his pretty quickly. He was excited for his presents.

His most wanted present was a Stunt Derby car. He shoots it forward with a rubber band and it crashes into towers.

Kenzie was excited to see some "Lucky Charmos" in her stocking. She promptly ate all the marshmallows once she found them.

Jordan was very excited to find Froot Loops. He didn't eat them right away though. In fact, the other kids were ready for lunch when Jordan announced "I haven't eaten breakfast yet!" He was too excited about Christmas to be hungry.

Jackson with his Angry Bird tattoos.

Kenzie has been wanting a "binky pop" since before Halloween. She was really happy to finally get one.

Jack playing his Angry Birds Space game from the Crabtrees. He sped through opening his presents and was done way before anyone else.

Jordan and Mike the lion in their capes. (also from the Crabtrees:))

It took Kenzie a while to open her presents. We had to keep reminding her to go open them.

Kenzie loves pez. Do you notice a theme of Kenzie loving sugar? Marshmallows, binky pops, pez.

Coleman was not at all interested in opening his presents. We opened most of them without much help from him.

Kenzie helping Colie play with his new toy.

Kenzie got a Melissa and Doug ice cream set and we all thinks pretty cool. It magnetic so the ice cream stays on the scoop and on the cone.

Kenzie got some fun princess accessories from Grandma and Grandpa Riding.

You can see her fancy earrings better in this picture.

The aftermath.

I don't actually know what this is. But I think it's kind of a cool picture :).  I didn't get a picture with Jackson and his present, his blue Angry Bird. He loved that thing and played with it all the time, until he lost a few weeks ago. I'm hoping it will turn up hidden somewhere in the house, but I also think it may have been taken to the thrift store accidentally.

Doug was so excited to open his huge present.

It was just what he was expecting, a telescope. He loves it and wishes we loved somewhere where the night was clear more often. I'm kind of happy it's cloudy a lot. I get lonely when he spends a couple hours before bed outside. :)

Hooray!

Jackson opening our new family globe.

Kenzie and her new stroller (again from the Crabtrees :))

Doug ready to open his other presents.

My parents came over for awhile and my mom offered to take a picture of the both of us. That doesn't happen too often. Usually pictures of us are ones we take of ourselves that are just an arm's lengths away. :)

Doug putting something together. It may be a Mars Rover that Jackson got in a space kit.

The boy enjoying Kenzie's kitchen.

Colie on his new rocking horse from grandma and grandpa Riding. He loves riding on this thing.

Cute Kenzie. She probably is wanting the gummy worms she's holding.

We had a wonderful Christmas! Thanks for all the presents and cards! We love our family and friends!

Christmas Eve

When the kids woke up on Christmas Eve, they opened their Christmas Eve present. They were really excited.
 Jack bringing them in.

Jordan ready to start opening.

They all got matching Christmas jammies.

They're all so cute in their matching jammies. :)

Coleman makes me laugh in this picture.

Kenzie's always watching Jordan and doing what he does :) I love getting pictures that capture that.

What photo shoot would be complete without silly faces?

We taught Coleman how to do a silly face. He was pretty excited about it :)
Jordan making Coleman laugh.

After getting ready we to my parents' house for the day. As always we had so much fun hanging out!

Coleman was the first to hit the pinata this year.

  He loved it!

Kenzie loved hitting it too.

My boys finally wore a blindfold this year. This is Jordan. Since they are wearing matching clothes and are about the same size, it was really hard to tell who was who in the pictures. Luckily we always go from youngest to oldest and so I figured out this was Jordan :)

I had prepared Jackson for for wearing a blindfold before. I told him that since he's 6 he has to wear one. And he didn't put up a fight this year about it :)

Kenzie sang I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas while Jordan played the maraca and Jackson played the flauta (or flute if you don't speak Spanish. But since it's from Mexico it's a flauta.:)) It was quite the performance :)

Jordan, Alli, and Jackson sang All I want for Christmas is My 2 Front Teeth.

And to end the night we sang songs together.

I love Christmas Eve. And I love this cute baby.

Christmas Books and Gingerbread Houses

We read a Christmas book each night for the 12 days before Christmas. That was the plan at least, we did miss a few nights and had to double on some. And we never read our Christmas Eve book. I don't think we even unwrapped it...  It's a fun a tradition we all enjoy though.
The kids took turns opening them.

Coleman didn't open any though. He didn't really care to and I was worried that if we started letting him do it he would try to open the presents under the tree.

Jack's turn. This was a night we had to double up on books, which is why Kenzie and Jack both got to open one.

We went to Ashlee's house to make gingerbread houses this year.
Kenzie loved it. Anything that involves eating candy is her kind of activity.

The baby wasn't too into it.
