We went away for a weekend in September to Whidbey Island. It's where we went on our Honeymoon. And we stayed in the same hotel. We're so romantic, huh? We did some sleeping, shopping, went to Deception Pass State Park, watched the sunset, looked at the stars, ate at Jeda's Thai Kitchen (if you're ever in Oak Harbor, you should go there. Soo good. And great service. The guy gave us tons of ideas of things to do. Now Thai is our favorite food. I want to go on dates just so we can find Thai places to go to. So really, go there.) We stayed 2 nights there then came home and packed and cleaned before we picked the kids up from Ashlee's house. It was a great break. Thanks Crabtrees! :)

Learning to Sew
On one of the other 2 days of the week that we don't do normal homeschool stuff we learn about other things. In September I taught the boys how to sew a little bit. I thought it would be fun for the to make Kenzie's presents for her birthday. They both did really good. Jackson did his almost all by himself. Jordan needed more help. Jack made a blanket for Kenzie's dolls and Jordan made a pillow for Kenzie and her dolls. You'll have to wait for Kenzie's birthday post to see the pictures. The boys were really proud of their creations. And they both seemed to like sewing. Jordan especially liked it.

Playing Tennis
We went to the park one weekend in September and played tennis. The boys loved it! There was also a playground for the kids to play on.

School Starts
This year I decided to homeschool the kids. I think they'll be able to learn a lot when they can move at their own pace and have 1 on 1 (or 2) instruction. And I like being with them. And I like being able to do what we want when we want mostly. And there are many ways to get social experience outside of normal school. I'm teaching both boys 3 afternoons a week while the babies sleep. Jackson is taking classes at a school 2 mornings a week for a total of 4 hours a week at a school for homeschool kids. He's taking a science, art, and writing class that all focus on oceanography and he's taking a Magic Treehouse book class. He loves the art class the most. Jordan started preschool last week in Ashlee's preschool. We weren't going to put him in it at first, but decided he would love it and it would be good for him. And he does love it! (we'll have more of that on another post.) I love homeschooling the boys. They seem to be learning a lot.
Here's Jack's first day of school picture:

Doug Takes the Kids
On Labor Day I went Thrift Store shopping with my sister (50% off day!). Doug didn't something very unusual for him. He took the kids somewhere by himself. Although, technically he wasn't by himself. He went with Konrad and the Crabtree girls. But I was still impressed that he took them all out. :) They all went on a hike. He said everyone had fun. Here's the pictures he took.

There was a story about someone named Doug :)
4th Tooth Out
Jackson lost his 4th tooth in August. It took about a week for the Toothfairy to take it away though and leave some money in it's place. :)

Jackson said he thinks that the Toothfairy gives the teeth to babies when their teeth start growing in :)
Walking
Coleman took his first steps near the end of August. He only took a few. He has very slowly started walking more and more. He now walks about half of the time and crawls the rest. He seems to walk at home more than anywhere else. He's a pretty cute beginning walker.

Standing.
Stepping/falling.
And here's just some cute pictures of the boy.
