Wild Waves

My sister was kind enough to invite us to go to Wild Waves with her yesterday and let us use her free ticket coupons. We loved it and are tempted to get season passes sometime in the future. I didn't know how well the kids would do, especially with Kenzie not getting her nap, but they were all happy and had a great time.

Kenzie by the wave pool. We spent the first half in the water. Most of the time we were at the wave pool. Jackson liked to go in a play around with his cousins while Jordan and Mackenzie liked staying by me and only going in the water with Ashlee or me.

We also went to the kiddie pool area. This is Jordan going down a clam shell slide. Kimber is next to him trying to convince Kenzie to come down too.

Kimber did convince her, but as you can tell by her face, didn't really like it.

Jack and Sam looking up at the water slides.

Kenzie saw the towels on the ground and knew what to do: lay out to get tan :)

After eating lunch in the car (because you can't bring food in) we rode rides. They loved this airplane ride. Jackson was turning around talking to Jordan mid-flight. I was a little nervous he was going to fall out by doing that :)

Coleman slept a lot.

Jack riding in the caboose on the train ride.

Some of the kid rides they couldn't ride by themselves because they were too little. I took them on a couple, but Ashlee was very nice and rode on this roller coaster once with each of the boys (and then again with her daughter). She had to hold on good to the boys so they wouldn't fly out. I was grateful she did. Jackson was worried his glassed would fly off and so he held them tight.

Jordan and Ashlee. I noticed that Ashlee sat in different spots of the roller coaster each time she rode it. With Jack they were in the middle, with Jordan they were in the front, and with Alli they were in the back. I never asked her which was the best place to be though.

This is 6 of the 8 kids we brought with us.

Jack, Jordan, Alli in the boat ride. They're very serious drivers.

Kenzie could have went on this ride by herself. But she said she wanted to watch.

After watching though, she said she did want to ride on it. She was happy sitting in it until it started. Then she got a little scared. But Alli comforted her and she made it through the ride without crying the whole time. This was Kenzie's first time going on a ride. And it was the only ride she went on.

Some Pictures

Doug was trying out a new hair style...

Jordan and his puppy.

Jackson

I don't think Jackson wanted his picture taken. I don't know where he got that glare from...

Mackenzie

She loves me.

I think this picture says a lot about Mackenzie. She gets what she wants. I very rarely let the boys eat anywhere but at the table. But Mackenzie likes to walk around to eat and when I tell her to go to the table she says "no!" After I insist sometimes, instead of actually going to the table she'll find somewhere else to sit down, like a chair in the middle of the living room. So she's still getting crumbs all over the place. And did you notice the color of her legs? She really likes to color. Just not on paper. All the markers have been put up high, out of all children's reach since the boys aren't very good about putting them away after using them and Kenzie would get a hold of them. But Kenzie still found a marker somehow upstairs and while I thought her and Jordan were playing nicely together, she was coloring all over herself, the wall, the carpet a little, some toys, her doggie, the bathroom floor, the tub, and the toilet. Yeah, she's trouble. But she's cute and she knows it so she gets mostly whatever she wants.

Matching Kiddos

Coleman wore a tie on Sunday for the first time. Apparently he didn't love it.

The big boys have the same tie and Kenzie has a skirt and shirt that match so they all wore them. I though they all looked pretty cute.

I think Kenzie is so adorable in this picture.

This one is my favorite of them all.

I like this one too.

Coleman is smiling! If only Jordan were looking at the camera (and smiling) this picture would be pretty much perfect.

Silly faces. Isn't Kenzie's so funny? I love it.

Just the boys. Jordan actually wanted to hold the baby. That's the first time he's wanted to. The desired lasted about 10 seconds though.

The boys again.

Park Trip

We went to the park last week. It was cloudy and not very warm so Coleman had to wear his warm clothes. He slept well with the hood covering his eyes :).

There was only one other family there and the boys started playing freeze tag with them. The other boy ran onto the play thing to get away from Jack who was 'it'. Jack ran after him and slipped and cut his lip. He got up crying, but I didn't think it would be that bad since he's kind of dramatic any time he falls down. But when he came over to me his hand and mouth were covered in blood. I wiped it up with the towel I had grabbed out of the car to dry the slides off with. I was a little worried that he might have to get stitches or something since it was bleeding a lot. But it did get better pretty quickly after putting ice and pressure on it. He had a fat lip though for a couple days. Here's what it looked like:
It's on the upper left part of his lip.

Kenzie had fun though riding in this car. She wouldn't ride on froggy because she thought it looked "scary."

Coleman's Blessing Day

Doug blessed Coleman at church on August 7th. Coleman cried through most of it but stopped when Doug finished and held him up so everyone could see his cuteness. Grandpa Riding, Uncle Konrad, and Grandpa Crabtree, all stood in the circle with Doug.

Coleman in his blessing outfit. It's the same onsie Jackson wore when he was blessed.

The kids weren't very cooperative for the family picture. Kenzie was crying in most of the pictures and Jackson didn't smile in any of them. Jordan did pretty good though and there was even a couple with him smiling.

Grandma Dance came up for the blessing. We loved having her here and wish she could have stayed longer!

You'd think they'd be looking at cute baby Coleman right? But they're actually watching something on Doug's phone.

While I was blogging...

Kenzie helped herself to a snack. I could tell it was chocolate but I had no idea where she got it. I asked her and she said "eat it." So I asked her again where she got it and she said "garbage" and ran over to the garbage. I was worried that she actually got some food out of there, although I couldn't think of any chocolate that would be in the garbage. When we looked in she pointed out a chocolate chip bag in there. She didn't actually get any chocolate out of the garbage she just cleaned up after herself. I'm still not sure how she got the bag in the first place. But she must have eaten a lot because I think there was 1/3 to 1/2 of the bag with chocolate chips in it.

And this is just a cute picture of Kenzie I just took. She loves to swing in Coleman's swing.

22 month old Kenzie

Kenzie is now 22 months old.
She's loud and loves to run around and play with her brothers.
She gets what she wants most of the time because she's so cute and gets so sad when you don't give it to her.
She only likes wearing her crocs although she will wear sandals to church. But there is only one pair of sandals that she'll wear.
She likes to do things by herself, but says "help you" when she does she can't do something. She eats syrup waffles for breakfast now (instead of plain ones or peanut butter ones).
She's so spoiled I don't even make her break them herself. I'm pretty sure both her big brothers did at this point in their lives.
She talks a lot and can say most anything. My favorite things she says are: I will!, I love you mama, strawb (for strawberry), Nenny do it (she says Nenny for Kenzie), her brother's names: Jacky, Bordan, and Baby Coleman, Yumba (for Zumba), "ewe gross " when I change hers or Coleman's diapers.
If you ask her what her name is she often says Dora. I don't know why unless Jack taught her to do that.
She had very strong opinions about what she was going to wear each day, but she doesn't care as much anymore. She does, however, care very much what pajamas she wears.
She likes to tattle. She'll say something like "mama, Jacky push me." It's pretty cute.
She love Jackson. She's often looking for him when he's not around. She likes him to run with her. When he's not in the car with us she'll ask "where's Jacky?"
