Puffs

Kenzie got some baby puffs for Easter. Being the paranoid mom I am, especially about choking, I usually hold off giving my kids chewing foods until they're 9 months or so. But I decided to try them a little earlier with Mackenzie since my sisters have told me numerous times the babies can eat chewing food at around 6 months. And I'm happy to report that they were right; she did not choke on them.
But she also didn't like them. She made this "what are you putting in my mouth" face every time we put one in her mouth.

Then she would sit there doing all she could to get them out of her mouth. She has become quite good at this.

And after it was out, she was happy Kenzie again.

Easter!

Jackson was really excited when we told him it was Easter. He loved looking for the eggs the Easter Bunny hid.

Jordan loved finding them too. They loved playing hide the eggs for awhile after.

The kids got bubbles in their Easter baskets. They got a no spill kind, which is great for Jordan. He got some non-no-spill bubbles for his birthday and the first time he used them he spilled it all.

Jordan trying really really really hard to get that egg open. He had to have Jack help in the end.

Kenzie in her clothes from the Easter bunny. He also got her glasses that match the cute outfit.

She also got these glasses.

I think this is one of the cutest pictures ever. Look how Jordan has his arm around Kenzie. Both are looking and smiling. It's pretty much perfect.

This one is pretty cute too.

The kids with their Easter stuff.

After breakfast we filled up their bubble containers with bubbles and let them go outside and blow bubbles.

Jack's outfit is pretty nice huh?

Jordan blowing bubbles.

Jack got a little cold so he put on his jacket. I was happy to see his new glasses matches his jacket.

After Jordan's nap we went to my parents' house for dinner and the Annual Egg Hunt. Jack loved finding the eggs again.

Kenzie and Doug.

Jordan found a lot of eggs and made a lot of money. When the hunt started all the little kids went one way except Jordan. He went the other way and found a lot of eggs.

Here he is with his egg.

After dinner we played an egg roll game my cousin Julie taught us. It was really fun. To play, you have 2 people each choose a hard boiled egg and they sit across from each other and roll the eggs into each other. The person whose egg doesn't break wins. Then you keep playing until there is only one winner. And this time that winner was me. Jackson absolutely loved the game. He wanted to keep playing it and chose to play that game the next night for our activity for family night.

Later that night the kids played with my dad. They'd sit on his back and then he'd knock them off. They loved it. Actually, Jack kind of loved it. He's kind of scared of this game. But he likes it better when he gets to sit in the front.

Here's Mackenzie in her incredibly cute Easter dress.

Baking Day # 5

Ashlee and I had baking day again while the men were in Priesthood session for conference. I think we had more successful recipes this time then we've had any other time. We liked a lot of the desserts.
The kids watched a few movies.

Jordan really only gets his bink when he's sleeping, but somehow (with help) he got it out of his bed and was enjoying it for awhile before I caught him with it and took it away.

Ashlee cooking.

All our creations.... A strawberry cheesecake dessert, chocolate cake (not so good), an eclair (really really yummy, probably my favorite... it's the one with vanilla wafers on top), chocolate truffles with peanut butter or marshmallow cream in it, babe ruth bars (one of Doug's favorite desserts), a peanut butter, cheesecake, toffe brownie (good, but I think I'd like it better with out the toffee chips), and a gooey brownie thing that was kind of like my favorite desert (the cookie bowl) but not quite as good. So I would call baking day a success. I think we should have monthly baking days. Or maybe every other month...

Old Man

It was Doug's birthday last week. He's now 27. Old huh? :)

We had our family birthday celebration the day before his birthday since his actual birthday was going to be pretty busy since we were going on a date and we had general conference and baking day. Instead of opening presents the traditional way we sent Doug on a treasure hunt. I hid his presents and wrapped clues in a juice bottle. Luckily Jackson only knew where 2 of them were because he kept showing Doug where they were. He would just go stand by the spot where it was hid. But once Doug was misled. He thought there was a present in the bags he's looking through in the above picture. But there wasn't. The present was really next to the bag.

Doug finding a present.

And another one...

The helpers. Jackson was so excited for Doug's birthday.

Another present...

Since all of Doug present were boring shaped I tried to disguise them. I wrapped on inside of a photo album. Doug had know idea what the present was going to be. I was happy that I tricked him :)

Jackson and Jordan helped put the candles in our cake.

Dying Easter Eggs

My sister, Michelle and her kids came up to dye eggs with us. Well, really she came up for a friend's wedding, but while she was here we colored eggs... This is her and Natalie.

Makenna and Jack eating lunch.

Coloring eggs at Ashlee's house.

Ashlee helping Jack color his egg. Before they started Ashlee explained the rules (not dropping the eggs in, getting an adult's help, being careful...) and Jack got really nervous to do it. So he just sat there with his egg in front of him watching the others until Ashlee helped him. Even then he sit was hesitant to do it. He gets really worried when I tell him to be careful or give him too many rules about things. So I have to be careful not to give him to many rules.
Jordan had fun coloring eggs this year. He doesn't get stressed about rules. He doesn't really care about them too much. He had fun dropping his egg in and trying to make a huge mess with the dye.

See... He loved it.

Jack (finally relaxed about coloring eggs) and Kimber finishing the eggs.

Since all the cousins were together we decided to take a picture. This is the best picture I think we have taken of them all. They're all looking and happy. Plus Natalie is so cute laying on Jordan's shoulder.

Funny faces.

Papa Johns

We got Papa John's Pizza a few weeks ago. When we got home we saw some coupons on the box. One said that you can you can get a cheap pizza if you take a picture of your pizza and put it on their website somewhere. We threw away the coupon so I'm not really sure where to post the picture. But we did take one. I thought it was funny that we had to take a picture of it and thought I'd share our pizza. So here it is...
It was a very yummy pizza. We also got the Cinnapie and it was delicious. Even a few days later when we reheated it, it was still so good. I'll go back to Papa John's just for the Cinnapie. And if you go there and get it you should pay the extra money for extra icing. I totally think it's worth it :)

6 Months Old!

Our sweet Kenzie-girl is already 6 months old. And has been for about half a month now. She's growing up so fast. :) She's still so cute and loveable and happy and smily. She's an expert back to tummy roller and can sometimes roll the other way too. She can sit somewhat too. She falls over sometimes, but does ok for awhile. She likes playing with toys, but we have to be careful when we give her one because sometimes she gets a little too excited and smacks herself in the head. We went to the doctor a few days ago and found out she weighs 13 lbs 14 oz (under the 10th percentile) and is 26 and 3/4 inches tall (about the 75th percentile). Jordan also had his 2 year check up and he weighs 29.5 lbs and is 34 and 3/4 inches tall I think. He's not as tall as he once was. He was just the 50 percentile this time and was the 100th I think 6 months ago... He's about 75th for weight.
Here's some more pictures of Mackenzie...

I think this is another contender for the cutest picture ever :)
